Early Bred Youngsters Being Rung Now

Somebody down the club said he had eggs chipping out last week which means he would have to have rung them by now. As the RPRA dont send the rings out until Dec 23rd i thought he must have got them from another union and so rang the NHU, SHU and WHU and they all said there not sending them out until 3rd Jan. So is he getting them somewhere else or is he talking sh**.

IHU are already out am sure national clubs get there's out early , and there's a continental technique that stops the foot from growing until rings are available

every clubs got one idiot mate.early bred y.birds are ok but I don't believe there any better than y.birds bred in march-april jmho.for a start its hard to get them out flying so early in the year.hawks.

you ring the bird but don't pull ring entirely over then when new rings come you push old ring up along with new one and cut first ring off leg then unrestricted grows as normal

no rings should be given out before jan the 1st imo i breed mine to be rung 3rd or 4th of jan our club and shu do not give out rings before the 1st in fact our fed sec was pulled up by shu for giving out fed rings in december hed only given them out early at a meeting to save postage

This was discused on a post on Pigeon Chat only last week,members claimed they recieved their rings on the 4th. Dec.

yes basically ,when still in Wales I had loft numbers for S.H.U. and N.E.H.U. ,for transfers mainly , but also bought rings from N.E.H.U. whilst here in Scotland . would maybe depend which part of Ireland ?

Out of interest, who in these Unions decides on the date for sending out rings, I don't have a problem with dates but I do think a 2014 youngster should be ringed in 2014
