sapper756 Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 Car tax disc to be axed after 93 years http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/69287000/jpg/_69287648_blurred-82172090.jpg The tax disc to show motorists have paid vehicle excise duty is to be replaced with an electronic system, Chancellor George Osborne has announced in his Autumn Statement.
andy Burgess Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 should have a system like the Nederlands ,paid through the bank along with insurance policy
OLDYELLOW Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 No need fer road tax or insurance should all be paid via petrol pump imo
geordie1234 Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 should have a system like the Nederlands ,paid through the bank along with insurance policy Is it not crazy money they pay over there?
gulkie Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 No need fer road tax or insurance should all be paid via petrol pump imo So true they talked about putting it on the fuel price for years but they wouldn't be ableTo rip us of as much that way.
greenlands Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 If they put it on fuel you're penalising the person who doesn't have a car or a person who only uses the car for the odd shopping trip. All products will go up because of the cost of road haulage ??
airdrie2 Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 So true they talked about putting it on the fuel price for years but they wouldn't be ableTo rip us of as much that way. IT WOULD BE £50 A GALLON WULLIE it should be abolished and reasonable cost put on fuel even with cars today using the road but paying nil road tax ?
Guest bigda Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 the cops don't need to see yer tax disc they have built in scanners that run your registration very very quick that tells them all they need to know about your tax mot and if insured when they get a tug the system goes of as the Flintstones with yaba daba doo yer cought
ovy1255 Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 more cars on the road than ever befor and roads getting bigger and better ---pot holes bigger than ever--more pot holes than ever - so much for useing money to maintain roads .
Guest Owen Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 If there were a car abandoned in your street, how would you know that it was not taxed?
DJWa Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 If there were a car abandoned in your street, how would you know that it was not taxed? why would you want to know if it was taxed or notthat would make no difference to you if abandoned report it, the police will sort it if required
philg50 Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 If they were to put it on the cost of fuel woudnt they first have to make sure that the whole country was paying the same per iitre ,the Highlands and most of Scotland pay more than the south but I do agree it would get hold of those that dont tax there car .
