Hi All,

I have been listening and learning now for over a year. I have taken all the ideas from advice given and added some of my own that I think will help me become a competent pigeon racer and are putting them into practice. You will notice that I have not completed many postings this is because they often go off on a tangent and I don’t want to get involved in all that. On a positive note there are lots of good ideas and information to be gained and some really nice gestures from one fancier to another I have seen. I have attached photo’s of my loft I have built from scratch (nothing bought everything hand made) using all what I have learnt off here and other sources i.e. books, other websites and from people I have met who keep pigeons. I would just like to say this is a very good forum and thank you for the good information and advice that i have found on here. Hopefully this will continue and inspire other people like me.

I have attached some photo's of my loft and the pigeons that hopefully will breed some good racers this year.

Thanks all,

Mac1 i am in East Cleveland. The last time i raced pigeons it was 20 years ago but i have always loved them as my dad had them from me being little and before. I have a lot to live upto as the lads i grow up with all continued to fly and toped the Up North Combine. Here's a photo of me and my dad a few years ago.

Hi leighton1984,

yes the tiles do let air out, there is also a 2'' air vent just under the roof at the front and back. I have designed some vents at the front at the bottom that can be opened or closed they are directed upwards towards the void in the apex of the roof where two chimineys that draw air through. I hopfully have covered all angles when it comes to ventilation to try and create the right enviroment for the pigeons to be healthy.

Must say, impressed, and you show you have certainly learnt a lot. Where from and how maters not ... certainly wasn't from the likes of me maidMarrion, Tammy and Dovescot... but impressed regardless.

Dave, congratulations on your effort "Nice loft" in this day and age, to me etc. You have passed the first criteria the way I look at things in this sport now. With such a nice loft in your back yard, neighbours or any of the public etc which may happen to see it at any time for what ever reason, could only be impressed with your effort. "Well done".

PS, Roland "PMSL" with that bit of wisdom ???????? you just passed here a few minutes ago, about our mates "Love it".

Enjoy.
