Snatch Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 A good decision! When was the last time lanarkshire postponed marking till a Saturday?
JohnQuinn Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 A good decision! When was the last time lanarkshire postponed marking till a Saturday? NEVER to my knowledge, races have been Cancelled but never delayed. Great decision by the MEMBERS to buy our own transporters which allows us to do this, and a great call by wee Davy Young in his first year as Controller. Shows the wee man is on the ball.
REDROCKET Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 On the ball lol he will be hung up by his ball. S tomorrow if its not raining enroute lol.

Hi JohnFully support this decison but when members including myself tryedto introduce a 24 hour delay at the AGM we were shouted down byclubs claiming that they could not basket on a Saturday nightThe late Andy Durning with no chance of a lib left the birdsin Andersons garage overnight and got his b**ls chewed at thenext AGMYes how times have changedCheersHomer 49PS Jim Hannah was in favor of a 24 hour delay as I seconedtwice on this motion

However due to the new transporters we can now do what is best for the birds, that in itself is a huge benefit to all and i'm glad Davy has adopted the principal of self determination. atb for Sunday, John.

He said a 2 or 3 day holdover is great education for birds especially yearlings to learn to live eat and drink in the baskets and is good prep for them going to the national races latter in life where they will be 3 days in basket most times or longer . I would say his thinking was sound :emoticon-0167-beer: Ps this fancier was SNFC gold cup winner and only lived a few miles from me :emoticon-0167-beer: Edited May 17, 2013 by stb-

budgie Posted May 18, 2013 Report Posted May 18, 2013 Sunday it is, what looks like a good early morning liberation and it gives the fanciers today a chance to send more pigeons than they would have sent if they had basketed on the Friday night. This New Lanarkshire Fed is going from strenght hats of to all the Office Bearers and in particular Wee Davie Young
jonl6280 Posted May 18, 2013 Report Posted May 18, 2013 What about fanciers that had there doos set up for going away on fri night?? I wonder how many fanciers will be there to load the transporter on a sat night??
