Fife fed has never transported Snfc birds they hire there trailer out

If anybody would like to speek to the fife fed president you will get him on 07712769071 I'm sure he will answer any questions anybody has

So what your saying is a private haulage company rents Fife transporter and enters a lucrative quote ?. Another competitor comes on the scene and to retain the business drops this years quote by £2000 I would tell them to get stuffed.

Too many jealous fancier who dislike Lanarkshire and could not bear the thought of us taking the snfc birds. It was a stick on they would use someone else. Doesn't matter Lanarkshire will survive.

Think its a disgrace that SNFC willing take memberships, birdage fee,s and not provide

best possable up to date transport available 4 wat is suposed to be Best of Scottish Pigeons,

They think that much of SNFC that they havn,t up dated thier website since 2008 ( unreal )

to much bickering and personal grudges, decisions made in pubs an houses by the few, thats wits killing this sport, the members pulling it apart instead of pulling Together, and as 4 having to hav wait till AGM to change ruling( HELLO this is beginning of SEASON ) if its 4 good of Birds this should be brought forward ASAP ( EGM mayb ) sad state b in, u suspose to injoy hobby, how can u if u think ur birds aren,t getting the Best, jmo

And i wish Lanarkshire Birds Members ATB we their Transporters, wish my birds treveled in these,

Another little problem I have is ; Fife have reduced their quote by £2000 from last year !!. This suggests to me with rising fuel and ancillary prices that Fife have been taking the SNFC for mugs and ripping us off with our committee treating us as imbiciles. Perhaps Ian would like to explain how Fife were able to make this gesture ?.

Peter I didn't say Fife Fed had been awarded the contract. It was awarded to a road haulier based in Fife. Another road haulier also put in a bid. Two Federations put in a bid. The competition brought the 'Fife' bid down by 20% - he wanted to retain our business - and he got it.

The best transportation has not been chosen but the consolation is that the haulage costs on the balance sheet of the SNFC should look a lot more healthier than in 2012. :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Lets hope the SNFC has a successful campaign from all our races.

i a NONE MEMBER Told you all where and by WHOM you where going WITH but the part the Nat and fife fed are not telling you is, when the birds are thinned out they will not be using the 200 basket truck so you will be going with another transporter maybe the old style catterell truck , but they will be claiming the full contract price where as the lanarkshire having the combination of trucks and trailers would have taken all your birds from start to finish, yes where will the fife birds be going, are they to go with the Aberdeen guys for there races this big truck is now like the mammoth it days are numbed only use it has is for 1-2 inland races not unless the price is right

i feel the lanarkshire fed has left its members wide open here and placed us in a very

bad predicament having to go to a national marking station and having to suffer staying out till very late awaiting to put our birds through with the amount of entry's, any none member of the national will see this as a burden so here is hoping there will be change next year and a bit more thought given to the lanarkshire none Nat men

don't want to here next years agm it was to save money when the real crutch of the issue is duplication. we should have burnt the old wicker baskets that we had never to be used again now they are having the state of art transporters sitting empty doing *expletive removed* all but costing us money and insurance, sad state to be in caught with yer pants down

Fife transporter Is used for Newbury and Maidstone only

Midland fed and centel fed also used for these races and the channel racing

All these other Feds has there insurance ticking on also

From what I can see on here there is 4 Feds getting a turn (money) out of the Snfc racing instead of one big fed getting the whole pot

Some of these small Feds maybe rely on this income to keep there transport on the road for the season

you are making out that you are generous when the thing is you should have had yer own frigging transporters you have forgot one thing the lanarkshire and ayrshire plus others are giving yous custom from the none nat members having to go with you

Lets no be 2 faced about this transport issue, EVERY Fed that has put a bid in or have been asked for a quote are doing so to MAKE MONEY out of it. We ( Lanarkshire ) put in a bid that would have gained VERY LITTLE profit but as we are continuing to fund raise every little counts. Despite all the talk of Wicker v Aluminium i've never heard from a Doo what its preference is, but it seems there are plenty of members on here that have heard from their doos, wish you's could inform me how to speak their language.

aye and ive still no got a lend oh that tenner :emoticon-0140-rofl: :emoticon-0140-rofl:

As said previous i race most of the season in geraldy crates the only thing i do like to see especially in longer racing is deep shavings as i like to see my birds lay down on them close there eyes and relax which they do as they generate warmth this way i dont like seeing them lay on paper with fresh sheite getting crapped on it all day , if you put your birds in a crate at home for 3 days with card board paper and feed and water there feet are fekin boggin which is only exspected at they are standing on soft sh** , also i noticed they tend not to lay down as much .If you keep them in shaving for 3 days you hardly notice the droppings are they are dispersed through the continual movement of the birds and shaving

for hygene and ease of feed and water i would say geraldys best but to me shavings are prefered .

Interesting thread and a number of conflicting views and interests :emoticon-0136-giggle:

I for one have only ever had birds in wicker race baskets and have no axes to grind with it at all.

Some say it's went from being the greatest club to the worst, a sleeping giant, a disgrace etc etc.

To me Aluminium crates and up to date websites would go no way to improving the club or the pigeons. If I want to see pictures of the winners I need only refer to my year book. In days gone by (when the club was considered great) 100s of birds were being clocked from France their was no mention of aluminium crates.

A lot of suggested changes for the sake of it and they in no way would improve the club or quality of racing. Ask yourself what differences have occurred within the club over the last 15-20years; race programme etc. add to this the changing interests of the Scottish fancy, dwindling memberships and political agendas then you'll get a bit closer as to why people can say the club is on it's ar*se compared to yesteryear.

Your posts baffle me, at times you would think someone else is writing them,

Anyway, how can non members see pictures of the great winners of the SNFC, there are means to promote these winners, is it been done, the answer is no. I have not been fortunate to win a SNFC race, but if I had in the last 4 years, then I would have been gutted not to have a picture of my winner in the gallery of champions on the website.

Can't see what's baffling about what was posted? I can assure you it was me that posted it.

The quality of transportation the SNFC have used in recent years is not an issue for me. When wickers baskets are used and good racing is had transportation is never mentioned, when it's a bad race from the same baskets on the same transporter then the cries of poor transportation can be heard all over.

As for the website I genuinely don't believe it would do a great deal in promoting the national winners. The SNFC have a PRO who gives good coverage in the fancy press, in fact the Scottish National coverage in the pigeon papers is the envy of many fanciers racing in organisations that can send 10 times as many birds to their races. I have this on quote :emoticon-0136-giggle:

I suppose it could be used for online auctions.

Is this a good thing?

That's another thing that could be looked at two ways :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Lewis, you are a 22 year old lad with very little experience in the ins and outs of National racing and yet you act as if you are an old hand in every area of the sport.Ive been in the pigeon game since I was 5 years old ( 42 years )and when I was 22 I would never have opened my mouth to my peers ( and I was a wild bassa ) never mind try and convince them on how to do things. Im not for one minute trying to discredit you in anyway but there are things that just dont add up when your posting.
