JohnQuinn Posted April 5, 2013 Author Report Posted April 5, 2013 Cheers Andy, it was a very Brave decision by the members to go for it, and credit where due, Gareth has done an enormous amount of work to get the trucks here and finished on time, so tomorrow everyone will get to see for themselves the new transporters, all painted up and ready to go on the 20th. Just as promised

JohnQuinn Posted April 5, 2013 Author Report Posted April 5, 2013 Its been terrific to be a member of Lanarkshire Fed this past few months since it was decided to go ahead with Gareth's proposal, also lots of other members from across the Fed have contributed in other ways too in order to keep costs down, and to raise funds of course. Really heart warming response in general from all concerned and the hard work put in by the committee is about to come to fruition (the first part) this Sunday at the sale. All going well, and long may it continue.

Guest bigda Posted April 6, 2013 Report Posted April 6, 2013 great work by all involved, and by the lanarkshire members, we have the £1 bounty per race, here is me hoping that this is not included when we go with the national for the 3 races as there races are decided from there committee. they are making the decisions rather than our own members ,as how the lanarkshire is to be , run i think the £1 pound levy is a great thing but i also think clubs that cant afford new baskets, for the new fed geraldy should not feel like cast outs, some members feel if they buy baskets they belong to them, but i know that is not the case they belong to the fed . as all baskets on the fed trucks and trailers are fed owned baskets ,
frank-123 Posted April 6, 2013 Report Posted April 6, 2013 Good luck John hope it goes well today am sure the members will be very impressed with there investment in the transporters. I won't make it as am in Fife for a few days.A forward looking federation keep up the good work and remember you will always have negative folk but hopefully the positive members out way these negative thoughts.
sapper756 Posted April 6, 2013 Report Posted April 6, 2013 Good luck with your Open day John, and also for the future with your new transport, great to see an organisation making progress, would be nice to see some photos on the site Johnhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

Delboy Posted April 6, 2013 Report Posted April 6, 2013 Went up to see the new transporters and thought they were superb.Every aspect of these transporters are developed to the benefit of racing pigeons.I was also pleasantly surprised with the dimensions of the crates. They are 1 and half inches higher than the normal Geraldy crates.I heard Dr Lynch comment on this and the overall professionalism of these transporters.Onwards and upwards for the Lanarkshire fed.ps. I hope the SNFC use these transporters
