plumber theres another topic on it basically its a racing pigeon been crossed with a show racer to make it look good in a show pen.

lads and lassies if that was the first time this show has been run and some of you are saying if it doesnt improve im not going back.did any of you take part in anything or did you just appear and hope to be entertained for the rest of the day?it takes lots of time and effort to run a show and all the complaints should be expressed to the relevant bodies to make the show better next year.

Was only at the Show for a couple of hours as was there in the company of non fanciers as we were of to a Bowling tournament nearby ,Got to say a Very Big well done to a good friend Karl Guenther of Dumfries who was selling Doos Today Where else could you buy a direct Daughter of a Gold Cup Winner for £70 and Latebreds of the same Bloodlines For £30 A very well done for selling Doos at Working Mens Prices Karl Pity others could not follow your example :emoticon-0137-clapping:

 

Karl also won the raffle yesterday Mike, and promptly gifted the winning ticket to a young lady who i was speaking with and is relatively new to the sport. A true Gentleman in our sport.

 

The prize is a young bird from Robert Cormack which i'm sure will be top quality, and it will be named "Guenther's Express" as agreed between Karl and Mary.

:wacko: we had a good day out at the show ,great venue top birds in every class ,is this the only show dipped doo;s got a ticket or is people tryin tae sink the ship before it sails ,joe murphys done more for the sport than most folk ,dont think he'll through that away in a 400 mile handling class

We were not in long nightshift this weekend.

 

There was room for inprovenent but good start. If they build on this it will be fine in a few years.

 

 

Still feel however they had a real oppertunity to bring the sport together.

didnt make the show as had to work cant belive some of the negatives typical pigeon fanciers if you feel you can do better do so its the first year and instead of trying to make it better it seems like people were wanting it to fail unbelievabe no wonder this once great sport is in the state it is well done to all who put in the work and to all the winners

cant beleive the father and son put there selfs in that position whether the winner deserved it or not they have only left there self open to major critisisim which was crazy for them both but they must be thicked skinned??

The old 'Lyrona Supreme' hen died last winter,think she was around 15/16.She had stopped laying by the time of the sale and he didn't want to put her down.
