showman Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 All the best to those left in the o.l.r although i think it shouldnt be allowed.its unfair to fanciers in the east. Sorry, but I can't understand this !Can you explain how it's unfair to 'fanciers in the East' ?
Guest Basin View Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Heres hoping the PB syndicate birds do the BIZ today from Leicester, at least they are flying into an area that should get birds tonight. Common the PB doos :emoticon-0137-clapping:
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Best of luck to the basics team, and likewise to my fellow Lanarkshire fanciers.
clockman Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 I see the application form in the BWH, I might have a go this time, anyone else?
Ian McKay Posted November 1, 2013 Author Report Posted November 1, 2013 Got a cheque for £125.25 for prizes and sale of the birds Pity we had to pay for the photograph to sell Mr Hollands birds??
calder boy Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Sorry, but I can't understand this !Can you explain how it's unfair to 'fanciers in the East' ?the final race was in the snfc they have been doing there hotspot races with the unc so they have had a lot of racing and learning to break from convoy as they are one of the furthest fliers in the unc so why didnt they race there final race with unc and not the snfcwhich in my opion they shouldnt have been allowed to enter and the same goes for billy bilsland they have the first drop if birds enter up the east you either race in one organisation or the other and also one loft had an entry of 60 somehting birds put thru and some fliers only sending one or two so come do the maths one of first drops and entering up to ten times as many birds doesnt take much working out so i think section b will be looking at losing some birdage if it keeps up
Delboy Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 yep back in again, is it at lamberton this year Bill?

The lads down there have raced with up north combine for years and that also makes no difference where they race or train there birds . Why should Billy bilsland not be allowed either theres guys been racing doon there for years and nobody complained . If your that interested in winning the young bird national move down there like billy bilsland did and try yer hand at it and see if yer good enough instead of greetin and postin crap just because your getting shown up now .Maby you will win a nat if you move there , but naw you want them put out just because these guys have shown you how its done and will continue to show you , Wont be long till its the old bird nats there winning too .Watch this space . :emoticon-0140-rofl:

eastcoaster Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 rab i have holydayed down there since i have been a kid [coldingham eyemouth and dunbar ]cant wait till tomorow night when i win the lottery thats were i am going :emoticon-0140-rofl: :emoticon-0140-rofl: Why move to get an advantage ! I would rather get a good result in the west than move back to the east just to make it that bit easier .jmo
Guest stb- Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 as i said it was an opinion and erm greetin i dont think so lad and who said anything about wanting to win a national as for posting crap well as i said it was an opinion the guy asked a question and i answered it and as for wether u race 60 or 2 i think it will make a difference and what happens next year if he puts 200 away watch the grumbles begin wouldnt be so bad if there was a section for the borders but there is notI have said on the thread before i think the birds from the one loft should be convoyed with the snfc but not allowed to compete .It should be a one loft race only .The crap bit is why should billy bisland be penalised from competing in snfc yb nat hes only doing what others have done for years if there in the boundry there in the race .

calder boy Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 I have said on the thread before i think the birds from the one loft should be convoyed with the snfc but not allowed to compete .It should be a one loft race only .The crap bit is why should billy bisland be penalised from competing in snfc yb nat hes only doing what others have done for years if there in the boundry there in the race .not having a go at billy just that how can they race in an english fed but fly in a scotish national as b4 the snfc yb race they have flown about 4 races over 200 miles and us scots 1 maybe 2 if ur lucky and i agree a one loft race they should have a separate lib just like rpra what i should have said was the one loft sent 67 birds think they were marked at musselburgh and when marking they have 4 baskets for c and h so that means 8 birds in each basket would be like a training toss for those birds lol whats gonna happen if he turns up with 200 all his birds would be in the same basket not mixed at all
Guest stb- Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 not having a go at billy just that how can they race in an english fed but fly in a scotish national as b4 the snfc yb race they have flown about 4 races over 200 miles and us scots 1 maybe 2 if ur lucky and i agree a one loft race they should have a separate lib just like rpra what i should have said was the one loft sent 67 birds think they were marked at musselburgh and when marking they have 4 baskets for c and h so that means 8 birds in each basket would be like a training toss for those birds lol whats gonna happen if he turns up with 200 all his birds would be in the same basket not mixed at alli belive the solway can do the same thing i think they can go with the anglo scottish which goes with cumbrian combine dual membership , i stand to be corrected if im wrong .
mushroom Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 i belive the solway can do the same thing i think they can go with the anglo scottish which goes with cumbrian combine dual membership , i stand to be corrected if im wrong . Yes Rab they can but they would not get much further than their own programme as they only get to approx. 200 miles and that would be around the same time as the YB National so no real advantage there. However racing with UNC the birds would have the advantage of 3 to 4 races of 200 miles and over before the YB Nat and would be well muscled up for the Nat. The advantage with the OBs with Cumbria is that you can get the birds down to the south coast and over to Carentan before the SNFC Channel races, you can also get to Messac, Falaise, and Fougeres if you want to.
Delboy Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Fanciers from down in Eyemouth have sent ybs to the yb National for their first ever race and scored high up on the result. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Rutherford of Eyemouth sent a yearling to Falaise for its 1st ever race and was 14th Open, it was doubled back to the Gold cup race for its 2nd ever race and was 1st Open.
elanco Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 For 250 miles, location will come in to it but surely not from 500plus miles, only bloody good pigeons.

Mustve been a good pigeon BUT!!!!!Your not telling me Peter Virtues regular 6 birds in the top 12 from the SNRPC distance race are the best birds.
elanco Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 And your not telling me that anybody could move to co path and achieve the same results, no. A very good fancier, good pigeons and he doesn't need to train or race his birds with the UNC to acheive this. Would he be as prominent if flying with the SNFC, well he might not get as many in the top 12 but he would still get his fair share, in my opinion and that's not down to loft location at 500 mile
