Get your facts correct before you respond you know what has happened this year with around 6 Longtowns and look at the programme to completion.Thats why South Lanarkshire get bettter Snfc results by not hounding youngsters and taking the better route and for the record the loft they were trying to beat Has won the LRPF OLD BIRD CUP AGAIN and could have done it with their 3rd Pigeon every race this season.Lets see where the democratic vote goes this year if there are any fanciers left to vote.Take care and have a good day.

Heard yer moving hoose again lol.

Frank I want to race my doos beyond kelsos and Otterburns, down the east beyond these points you can't because of several problems, down the west there is only one problem and that is the BOP. Let's wait and see how the rest of the young bird season pans out.

And when making judgement on the route then Otterburn has been great but let's not forget about the Hexhams, Consetts, Tow Laws, Ripons and Wetherbys. All crap racepoints flying into the west. JMO

Stop being so negative and look at the well being of the youngsters and the future of the sport in General.

Would Rather compete against guys in my club the fed ticket is a bonus. So really if they come round the long way then it makes no difference in club racing.

The leading birds yesterday came right along the Glasgow Road which is a south easterly direction.

I saw both the Midland pigeons and the Lanarkshire pigeons both bombing it just over Auchen Castle which is just north of Moffat yesterday morning so at least they got this far without mishap.

Andy the fed may loose money, but this is not down to fanciers who exercised there democratic vote to go down the west route, it is down to the fanciers who had the opportunity to vote and did not abide by the decission that took place.

Anyway surely you cant blame fancier's in your own club or criticize them, who have for the past 10 years, suffered there doos coming from north east, this whilst flying the east route and then they still have to give away 2-3 miles overfly to you??

Talk about facts, Lanarkshire doesnt hound young birds down the road, expletive remove weve had about 5 races beyond 100 miles with the young birds down the east in the last 5 years.

No doubt you will use the poor returns that Lanarkshire and every fed in the UK has had in 2012 to have the route changed back from the west to the east.(some fanciers will then be happy that there back in pole position)...lol

Personally have only lost 6 pigeons from the 5 previous Longtown races.

Away and get yourself a pint doon the club today and i will square you up at the race program meeting.

Some of the Lanarkshire and Ayrshire convoy would have clashed at Crawford, only 10-15 mins between them meeting up.

Been looking through some comments on returns, percentages and fanciers' expectations. At only 60 miles IMO it is reasonable to expect 100% returns and all of every fanciers' birds to be home within 2 hours of their first, and if you accept any less at that distance then you are deluding yourself into what constitutes a good race. Time for some good old-fashioned honest statistics to identify what are the good & bad racepoints.

I think its absolutely marvelous for all you guys having great returns and wonder what my friends and I birds are doing wrong.

Last week 60% returns into Denny in the Midland Fed topped by Uncle Albert aka Peter Brown, this week same race point Eaglesfield 70 miles

Liberated 07.55. At 09.43 30 birds flew over the top of my loft heading east into Falkirk. Where did they come from ?.

At 17.00 Their were 4 batches of 200-300 in each going back and fourth along the Forth and Clyde canal they could not all be ours as we only had 40% losses again yesterday and they could not be Midland,Lanarkshire,Glasgow or Forth and Clyde as you guys have great returns perhaps I am being sceptical.

think you can take glasgow and forth&clyde out of the picture as i believe very few birds are missing from both of the above!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :);)
