this race point is a disaster for the lanarkshire the birds are not learning anything from it there are loads of birds once again missing from it, and not here in race time this is not good enough to be clased as a race point

why do you think midlands fed never race from there danny

The reason they didnt have it on their race program was because the sites they used were no longer suitable for liberating pigeons, Lanarkshire were fortunate to have someone who provided a site that was suitable for two HGV lorrys.

your missing the point gareth, the races from it have fecked up the doos they are not there in any great number, as a race should be. newmain have and you i belive race train close to it, just beyond peebles and yet you and newmains would be better off with a chocolate watch, this is not a race point as there are 30 odd named donalds down there at losttown at over 2,200 ft and when the birds, and more so the ones that have had little training due to the bad weather, take to the sky and try and gain height as they havent got a clue where they are, they are getting themself skelped every time by the bop they regroup and try and gain height again and the same thing, there is no easy way out of there, and the young birds should never be made to go in there again, i would say, even the birds that had a second go in there are missing also.

Yes Appleby has always been a good race point, far better than the Consetts and Tow law on the east route which are apprx the same distance. Let's hope it continues.

Info came to me from the midland fed convoyer about unable to liberate, this because of buildings and wires.

as a person at the midland fed meeting the midland pulled out of longtown , we found a far better race point in eaglefield , it was a straight vote of getting rid of longtown by the members

Cheers, has Eaglesfield been better than Longtown??

realy cause a took the 18 out of 20 fed positions and only got 8 out of 62 to come it was ther first race , taling to most members in chapelhall there only one or two to come heard tho that batches were headin to edinburgh and lots of birds coming back that way so mabye clashing
