geordie1234 Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 Ye know , its a very funny thing. Not one person has blamed the race controller this year on the west route. He got plenty of stick on the east route.I said this to Jim Hannah, the west is best for a controller because if its a bad race the controller never gets the blame. Its the route or the hawks or the weather. It seems to me its the best route to be a controller, lol ye never are wrong. That in itself tells you how bad the route is jmofuk *expletive removed* being a controller its a thankless job! I shall never blame a controller for a bad race

Guest stb- Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 I was talking about was it deliberate from the race controller quote which I think is way offi dont think it would be deliberate and with the strong east wind i dont think it would have made no difference with ayrshire being there or not the wind has been the killer this year

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 How many ppl are going to send the full yb programme? Every single race, right to Uttoxeter 213 miles, Now the majority of fanciers that want to change route from west to east are the same fanciers that wraped there pigeons up in bubble wrap (cotton wool)and didnt send to a race beyound 90 miles with their young birds in 2011. No wonder the losses have been so high with the old birds in 2012. Now thats shameful.
Guest bigda Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 word is, the East route is where they will be flying from, there are far to many got a hick up about the west , 5 years ago the midlands and the lanarkshire got humped from therethere where new members that joined the lanarkshire, and they had stated that since they flew the East route they could kill after the season , but they never could when they went west, now this was guys that did not give up on the west, year in year out, they also followed democracy but it still wiped them out. the west has proved that it is not safe for pigeons 3 times now and i dont think it should be given another chance.

Guest big50cal Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 For someone that has not raced any pigeons this year, and who is packing the pigeons in I dont understand why you are taking such an interest in sedning letters out to all clubs and causing trouble. My opinion is : the birds go down south, and they will find their own route depending upon the weather, obviously Homer 49 is being told what to do by his pal in coatbridge. We have suffered with the weather this year, that is all, please put your toys back in the pram and keep your cherry where it should be!
Guest big50cal Posted June 24, 2012 Report Posted June 24, 2012 homer49 still at his crying in the club the nite he was joking about he striked my clock off for maidstone not very nice .
nagid Posted June 24, 2012 Report Posted June 24, 2012 this east west thing is splitting clubs and it will wreck lanarkshire fed after all it was decided at the meeting to go west for the season end off.egm is for emergencies this is a gripe against the majority
lanarkshire lad Posted June 24, 2012 Report Posted June 24, 2012 The returns today have been excellent from longtown but the strong west wind pushed the pigeons to the EAST and that would explain the excellent returns from a very poor birdage for lanarkshire.
