I agree, stick to the channel but I'm sure it was Gareth who proposed no inland nationals at the last AGM and it got beaten soundly. Everybody says cut back on the inland nationals but when it came to putting hands in the air the members voted to keep them unfortunately.

And by the time the next AGM of the national comes around in Jan 2013, the members will have forgotten how poor inland racing was in 2012.

I Also agree maybe have one race as a yearling only , i think we are the only distance club that does not have one ,our fed the midland only have one open race (that was cancelled )what was wrong with having 2 opens in our feds and 4 water races and a yearling from ypres in the SNFC. ymo

I wisnae at it john as i dont approve of it for a start. IMO there should be only one inland nat and that should be from eastbourne or Hastings right at the coast as far they can go.Ive said this before far too many meaningless races taking birdage away from the principle race the GOLD CUP RACE.

Spot on we in Scotland have to cater for every fancier thats consitantly sends to 500 mile races,thats why the any union rule would unite the distance men.

Yes i understand what your saying about the Entries but at that time of year there are more pigeons left to send for a fact. The truth is i might no be sending any to Alencon Why do you ask that??as my best doos IMO have went down the tubes,and dont give me that nonesense that they couldna have been your best doos or they widnae been down. With the problems our birds have to face nowadays they are only as good as there last race,this weeks winner is next weeks looser ,got told by a gent tonight he lost a 4yo at cheltenham best bird he has owned he said double fed winner ,one thing for sure send your best and each time you do there chance of getting home becomes less as nowadays they are certainly not immortal we all tend to forget that at times.
