Guest Gareth Rankin Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 I agree, stick to the channel but I'm sure it was Gareth who proposed no inland nationals at the last AGM and it got beaten soundly. Everybody says cut back on the inland nationals but when it came to putting hands in the air the members voted to keep them unfortunately. And by the time the next AGM of the national comes around in Jan 2013, the members will have forgotten how poor inland racing was in 2012. Time heals.
dal2 Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 If ye dinny want tae gan tae the inland nats dinny send? Do you boys no go yerselfs tae the coast? If the birdage is low then the snfc will have to reconsider their position financially????
Guest stb- Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 the snfc used to be the 500ml club but not any more wee shouldent be botherd with the inland tosses wee get enough club racesagree hav always said this anyway i think it looses enties for the 500 mile races , do away way them

eastcoaster Posted June 16, 2012 Author Report Posted June 16, 2012 I Also agree maybe have one race as a yearling only , i think we are the only distance club that does not have one ,our fed the midland only have one open race (that was cancelled )what was wrong with having 2 opens in our feds and 4 water races and a yearling from ypres in the SNFC. ymo
lanarkshire lad Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 yes jamie you and Gareth will not be happy till we are going to 700 miles with a camper van with a saltire across the back!!!!!!!!!! and four baskets of doos!!!! the national needs every fancier in Scotland, racing from 300,400,500 and 600 miles whats the problem with catering for everyone??????.cmon lads time to get up to speed! Disagree here john where do you draw the line for a national race 150mile.

lanarkshire lad Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 I think it these short inland nat races should be given a new title SNFC middle distance Nationals.
alec guinness Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Disagree here john where do you draw the line for a national race 150mile. what happened this week was not good and imo we should never have been at cheltenham, but dont think anyone has flown the national at 150mls jim. I think it these short inland nat races should be given a new title SNFC middle distance Nationals. get your hand up for it next year m8.

Seems to me your changing your tune here john. I thought you were a out and out Distance man.
lanarkshire lad Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 CHELTENHAM was the YB nat expletive remove.
alec guinness Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 CHELTENHAM was the YB nat expletive remove. yb nat or not jim we all took a biffing!!!!!!!
lanarkshire lad Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 yb nat or not jim we all took a biffing!!!!!!!I wisnae at it john as i dont approve of it for a start. IMO there should be only one inland nat and that should be from eastbourne or Hastings right at the coast as far they can go.Ive said this before far too many meaningless races taking birdage away from the principle race the GOLD CUP RACE.
VMS Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 yes jamie you and Gareth will not be happy till we are going to 700 miles with a camper van with a saltire across the back!!!!!!!!!! and four baskets of doos!!!! the national needs every fancier in Scotland, racing from 300,400,500 and 600 miles whats the problem with catering for everyone??????.cmon lads time to get up to speed! Spot on we in Scotland have to cater for every fancier thats consitantly sends to 500 mile races, thats why the any union rule would unite the distance men.

Jeez mate, does the birdage at the inland nats not tell its own story? Why one inland nat instead of none if they are meaningless? How many ye sending tae Alencon? Folk vote with their entries!!!!If evrybody thought they wer crap they wudnae send? Surely we must cater for the whole fancy?????The same fancy thats disappearing quickly????
yeboah Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Thing that puzzles me,if the inland nationals are taking birdage away from the gold cup and with the big losses from marlborough and cheltenham if those same doos cannae figure out how to get home from 200 plus miles how are they going to sort it out from 500 plus surely numbers does not make for good racing but the quality of the birds in it

The truth is i might no be sending any to Alencon Why do you ask that??as my best doos IMO have went down the tubes, and dont give me that nonesense that they couldna have been your best doos or they widnae been down. Theres plenty better doos down than the ones that ive lost thats for sure on this shambles of a west route. Is it not true that you guys in the Solway love when Lanarkshire go west to give you guys cover as ive never heard of yus or the midland fed going before the big lanarkshire.
