and not to mention he bought the site so would be still out of pocket , I'm sure donations to help with the running costs of the site are more than welcome :)

the site is run to keep the members in touch with things, and in a big way for the charities, any money (if any) accumulating will go back into the site one way or another, this is why we are putting up a trophy for the shows and hopefully we can do other things,in the future, the site gave out £125 last year in prize money, at Blackpool I normally give out in the region of 50 minatures of whisky, etc,to show our appreciation to the members, have I made any money of the site the answer is no,and dont want to,and I have only had the site for 9 months and yes its very hard work, and as it has Adverts on it it is registered with my local bank as a BUSINESS site, which also costs money, and all the good work done by the site charity Administrator, and members raising over £12000 in the last year I think makes it all worth while, so hope this answers the question, will pm the member asking to see and if happy will lock this thread ,

If only we were all aware of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes by the mods and admin, so I would like to join in and say THANKS FOLKShttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gif

feel free to take the oportunity to give fifer and all his mods a pat on the back on this thread 1st one from me.

mods work is pretty easy now that why mods are even more involved in the basics show oldyellow takes credit for that the results board is added lots of fund raisers for clubs charity's etc

there very little moderation now to be done the forum is going great and that down to the members supporting causes and putting giving there input :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping: a more enjoyable place for all :egyptian: :egyptian:

thats one of the many positives of Basics, everyone has an opinion, and members respect that, so your opinion is both welcome and respectedhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/egyptian.gif

Like any site it's only ever good as the sites members make it , we try to create a nice friendly site where everyone is welcome no mater how young or how old , we have to remember we all are ambasadors for our sport and this site could be the first taste of pigeon folk to outsiders , so best to make the right impressions to all visitors . Like it's already been said we all have different ideas and opinions and no-one has to agree with each other but in most cases better for more than one way of doing things is helpful as gives more scope and options to see what works for there birds ectra . So guess on behalf of all the admin and moderators we thank each and every member for making this site what it is , a site is only ever as good as it's members so thank you all for making it a great site for all to enjoy :):emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Got to agree. The Site is a joy to be part of now, folk pulling together, helping each other & lots of good turns 'above & beyond'. The response to Charity events, both donating and buying birds is an absolute credit to all. I think you should have no fears on the face we now present to the general Public, bearing in mind this forum is available on the WWW., I think you are all Ambassadors for our Sport.

Take a bow. :emoticon-0137-clapping:
