Take a while to recover from the race yest. Still have hope of birds showing up but losing hope everytime I look out to see nothing sittingHOPE THEY MAKE HOME MATE .///BEST OF LUCK.///

b.massey Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 got my first one this morning at 6am now got 3/22 hope some more turn up Good to hear some are showing up Peter. Whats your thoughts on what went wrong? You think they just did not face the wind?
tyson Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 I had said to some people my biggest fear was with the race point being the farthest west that the bulk of the pigeons had been for a long time with the n/east wind tthat the pigeons could end up in wales and once they get into the welsh valleys they just keep going I think that a lot of pigeons will be in ireland jmo

Guest big slim Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 We got 5 out 6 from national. 3 on day 2 early morning but not so good from Peterborough. Dropped 6 from 24 and had a poor race but on the bright side our best cock Crazy Horse came this morning. Hope birds keep coming, best of luck to all.

Guest IB Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 Got my last pigeon from Marlborough early afternoon, making 4/4. Still missing a yearling hen from the Fed Leicester race, 5/6. I've also gained 2, one looks like a national pigeon, the other a fed pigeon, been feeding & watering them outside since early morning, neither look able to clear, so will be bringing them in for an overnight in spare boxes. Will post ring numbers when I get them.
