I bought a pair then the lad i was sat with also bought some he hadn't heard of them either. So it must have looked as though we knew what we were doing. The owner was sat near us and after we bought them he assured us he had spent good money on them and they had bred winners. They went for a bit more in the second sale i noticed so fingers crossed and i will see what they do. I have found out they are sprinters so shuld suit me fine.

I had a couple of pints as you do. Sat in an auction thought i was bidding on a schoorise hen. managed to get it for 50 which ws good as the auctioneer was withdrawing a few. I then realised i had bought a cock and it was a Roger Ghys which i had never heard of. Lovely bird and i am very happy with him in fact i also bought a hen to go to him from the same auction. Lesson learned don't drink to much in auctions.

I am starting to build my new 14 x 6 stock loft today. I then plan to start filling it.

Started with 61 2 died, 3 reported, 2 injured Have 26 currently left 10 missing from today's race lost 12 from another race So losses very high However second YB season ever 1x1st, 2x2nd,1x3rd, 3x4, 1x5th and 2 x 6th club. 3rd 14th 28th 42,43,45 Fed in the east cleveland fed which is an extremely competitive one. Still one race to go a short 50mile so fingers crossed. I hope some of the 10 turn in tomorrow.

I have come back from a weeks holiday and found 1 of my yb hens looking as though it has tried to pass a golf ball and its back end has fallen out. Its looks really red not bleeding hoewever it has been. I keep cocks and hens together and wondered if it could be due to trying to lay. I have checked the other hens and 1 other has what looks like a sore back end nothing hanging out but could be the early stages of what the first one has. Any advice would be appreciated.

Shame you are not closer. Its my first full year racing this season. I had 2 YB's from wuldon last year and they are beauties.

Anyone know any recipes for electrolytes. I have read they are important and so i am keen to mix some up for YB's when they start training/racing. Thanks

Getting birds ready. UNC basketing today for race mon. So fingers crossed

2 seasons of that and they would have to do something about the monsters otherwise all the wild birds will be gone. Will anyone change to this i doubt it.

What i think we need to do is change the starting dates for the first races. This will put pressure on the song bird population to feed these monsters. We would then need an agreement not to start to train to early. Eventually people will realise what is happening and hopefully numbers will be cut. We have already had 3 stinking races if we did start later the weather would also be a lot better. Our old bird season is a very long one.

I wish i had done the same however i only have 1 2year old. A lesson learned for me this weekend. I am sure it won't be the last one.
