  1. I have it at the moment mine arn' t been sick however holding corn fluffing up after exercise and green droppings as you say it is confusing. No fancier will give you the same answer on how to cure it i think you need to take one and try it if it works for you watch for the early symptoms and treat as soon as you see them. I have not fed mine for 24 hrs then only giving light feeds ensuring the crops are emptying. I have some stuff someone got from the vet. I think the other key is not to send them training or racing the amount of people who are sending when they have it in there loft is shocking.
  2. I got 8 back from 10 sent. I took some training today and am currently missing 3 hopefully these will be back later. Otherwise my season is not going to last much longer as i have to think of next year.
  3. Does anyone know the lib line number for the east cleveland fed. Thanks
  4. Told by a local fancier that he puts an onion in the water and garlic leaving them both in for a few days. I do it with my Yb's they don't seem to mind it. Plus it keeps the vampires away!!!! Not sure what it does possibly aids digestion?
  5. Had a similar thing with mine i sorted out the feeding they were a little better. I then treated with coxoid now flying again for at least 45 mins some did 1 1/2 hous today.
  6. He works nights so may not have heard it. I am sure he will be keen to have it back his birds have been flying like you would not beleive thisold bird season.
  7. The first Yb race is in less than 3 weeks. My yb's were flying for an hour it is now down to 20 mins anyone got any tips on how to get them to fly for longer. I have Yb's of different ages which maybe the problem. Is it worth me training the older ones so they get a workout. There are lots of houses around my loft which means if i try and chase the birds up they just land on the roof's.
  8. Can anyone help in how to sex yb's. I am just about to set up my unikon rings I have heard the claws are different lentgh's on males and females!!!
  9. anyone know what time the actual fight is due to start
  10. Thanks all i will take it back up to the club and see if it can be sorted. I am sure it is quiet simple i hope anyway
  11. Thanks i have the clock i will see if i can sort it this afternoon.
  12. Thanks. They seem a little unsure how to do it. If i contact Unikon direct will they do it.
  13. I have a club owned Unkion ETS system that is set to the previous owner. How do i change this to my name. its the base system i don't have a pocket clock as yet. Thanks
  14. Don't worry shall not try again.

  16. Seems a lot of bad races. UNC at Clermont Fri must be 100's missing.
  17. Try putting paving slabs on the floor over the the wood. this should make it to heavy for the wind to blow it away. Good luck with the rebuild. PS nice set up
  18. Could anyone recommend a good pigeon book. I am trying to develop a system for what to put in water etc. Some people put onion and garlicin. Some use salt and cider vinegar in the bath water. Using vitamins etc. Starting to find the whole thing slighlty confussing at the moment. I don't want to start wasting money giving potions just for the sake of it however if things like garlic cider etc are beneficial then i want to use them correctly. Thanks
  19. I live about 40 miles to the east of Ripon. weather currently overcast and raining lets hope it improves for you tomorrow. Good luck

  21. Put me down for 1 please mate. Never done this before how do we pay?
  22. I have 4 flying and ranging upto an hour. Picking another 8 up over the weekend. Wiyh a few more due throughout the week. Can't wait to get them i am like a child at a sweet shop at the moment!!
  23. Could anyone tell me when young bird racing starts. I will be flying in the Up north combine with the east cleveland fed. Also what age do young birds start racing. i have some just hatched will these be to young to start the Yb season. Thanks
  24. I am a new starter i have a 14 by 10 loft. I have joined a 6 bird club therefore don't need a massive team. I am looking to start Yb racing this year with around 25. After the yb season i will see what i ahve left. They will then form next years breeders and racers. as some of the posts have said local fanciers and Pb members are very generous and as yet i have not bought any pigeons. I think this sort of set up would be ideal for yourself. My loft has a centre corridor 2 sections one either side with a large 3rd section at the rear.I am not getting stock birds as you say they take up valuable space and i feel as a small team fancier space is at a premium. Good luck with getting started i think you have overcome the first major hurdle persuading the wife!!!
  25. This site is turning into a site for fish wives. This is not the first pathetic go at what seems like a genuine fancier trying to sell his hard working pigeons. Why is this allowed to continue. i read an argument for over 40 posts the other day between 2 'fanciers'. having just returned to the sport it makes me wonder what sort of fanciers are out there!!!!! Please lets start using the site for sharing ideas and having a bit of a crack.
