yeboah Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 I cant complain about the cost of corn as i get all mine through our race controller who is one of life's gentlemen. If i wanted to make things cheaper i would keep less doos than i have at present but quite happy feeding the army i have at present as i don't smoke or go on exotic holidays although i am going out with two of my best mates today to a annual darts tournament

I heard there were someone at the back of the Police Station in Baird Street, Glasgow who is an Ex-Pigeon man and now owns a scaffolding company sells Feeding from a unit at a very reasonable price so wondered if anyone has any info on it. ????

Guest Dorset-lad Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 ur right john thats how i get mine delivered free of charge from gem Hi novo10 do you have a price list for GEM corn?
Roland Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Yes, of cause we pay too much. My Tic beens were @25K £3.50, then £4.50 in September. November 2yo Tic Bans went to £5 then to £6 inside a Month. In January till now £7. Now if I had 25 - 30 members that would guarentee me theu would have 10 bags each, and I went to the farmer - All aleways good and spot on stuff granted, I's bet 300 bags would be £4 50 or less. Time we got groups together to start this off. Yes other dealers would soon come down too ... or pack up stocking it. Likewise with ALL feeds of Course. Wheat / Barley £3 a 25K bag etc. etc. English Maples would be less than a fiver. Indeed if I can get this sorted and went to the FARMER now, He would grow and produce them no sweat. Save on aadvertising and worrying whether he'd grow too much... Yes no matter if he grew 4 / 5 years stock in a throw, would be used the next year or so, and much preferred. Why don't WE!? Remember much of the reason it is grown is because of the lateness of planting.
Guest spin cycle Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 wheat currently is about 4-50 to 5 /bag in bulk....and spring beans 5 to 5-25 (i think) thats for 30 tonne loads in bulk so prices under this are a bargin.....good harvests around the world this year could bring prices down...but in the short term retail prices will probably keep rising
Fair Play Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 How much were the peanuts John I paid £32.00 for 25kgs
Guest G.Drysdale + son Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 I use Coxydene all the time can get feed from a local guy who sells from home but you need to go when he has just got a delivery he has not much variety so for me it's Coxydene
