Being someone who admires the Aarden strain, I would say that Raymond Molveld and also Bob Mac Donalds birds, were my type of doo JMO

Bought two at Raymonds sale and I,m very happy with them. Some of the birds in the winter gardens were crap tho.

Well done Henrik, good luck with them.

Cheers Stuart I,ll let you know how they go. Look the part anyway, and the sale was well run too

didnt go to b/p this year but was on the phone constantly through out the peter van der mewre sale to my brother

ended up buying a bird that was about 5th choice seen the bird today for the first time and most say for what i

know about doo's which isnt much she's a cracking looking bird in top class condition tame and blends in well with

whats already in the loft and she was half the price of the first choice so in my opinion going by the other

coments this must have been one of the best sales so well done to all involved. :egyptian:

Thanks for the kind comments. Shame that a lot of people found the birds at Blackpool were sub standard, perhaps you should have come to our stan :emoticon-0140-rofl: Just need to put one thing right, we only breed 500 birds a year! We had 90 for sale, it was our best Blackpool ever with more reports of winners including 1st Section NIPA and Combine winners. I hope you all had fun though. All the best for 2011 season

willie i will be speaking to bob tommorow night and will pass on your compliments to him . i have been out to bobs 5 or 6 times in the last 2 weeks and i know he was very emotional about letting the doos go but like you say they were in cracking nick nae bad for someone who is 85 years young .

hi robbie... met Bob once at Bob Whyte house when i was up collecting some pigeons, same week end Gary Inkley was up visiting Bob McDonald... i remember when i was a lad at Blackpool the Bob McDonald pigeons always made my jaw drop, now over 20 years later the effect was much the same when i saw them at the weekend, only a master breeder of racing pigeons can maintain that quality in a family of pigeons all these years later... say hi to Bob for me, would be good to pop up sometime and see this wonderful family of pigeons! :D

Sadly was not at Blackpool but I have a pair of Bobs birds. They are Cracking pigeons and if I was at Blackpool and buying I would not have passed his stall. How did it go anyway? He sell them all that went?

Brian, these pigeons all sold out before 12 o'clock on the saturday, 70+.

they would grace anybodys loft whether it be racing or showing, Bob used to show them many moons ago and took top awards at Blackpool, etc...

thank god there's others out there that are happy with what they got at the sales for a wee while i thought it was only me

oviously there are some chancers selling doo's at b/p every year but for sure i will always look forward to be

standing in won or the other sales room full of the drink bidding for something and the next morning it could

be a chicken but i'll still try to breed racing pigeons from it lol

Hi

Did anybody catch up with the Derek Pedley sale at Blackpool.

Interested how his campius sales went and if anyone handled his birds?

David

I take it he did not show up then?

Thanks all.
