Henrik Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Naw Bobby,Yer wrong M8. The proper idea is all resolutions for change should be in writing and put on the agenda, as is done at Federation level. If there are unforseen circumstances at the time of the race then the comittee have the power to change the racepoint.. End Of....Place for change is at the meeting Andy not on here you,ll have your chance next year at the Agm to put forward your views. As for now we,re left with what we have so will just have to make the best of it. The only plus side is we have people on the committee from this side of the country this year, and hope to persuade Eggy to go back on as well.
Guest IB Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Agree with what is being said, there were so many racepoints put forward at the meeting a club mate remarked 'we need to bring an Atlas in future.' I also believe that the person who suggested Marlborough also stated that it did have the necessary facilities, otherwise it would never have been accepted as a Proposal. If it proves to be unsuitable because of this, I'm sure the Management Committee will change it.

I think another meeting would have to be called. Maybe should go back to the old way of having a race prog meeting but then again no one came to them either just moaned about the decisions all the same.
Guest IB Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 At the meeting the race point referred as used by the unc was rivenhall that lost out on the vote against Marlborough 44 against 39 ,sure you will find Marlborough is in wiltshire se of swindon and very near to our newbury racepoint we used to fly it would then have been direct on line for portsmouth which was defeated in favour of eastbourne by 49 votes to 42 ,hope this helps Yep, spot-on, good job I take written notes because me memory is like a sieve nowadays; I'd noted on Agenda that Rivenhall was an UNC racepoint etc., then got it mixed up in my head with Marlborough.
knoxjn Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 if there are no facilities its no good end off story the welfare of the birds and convoyers must be paramount if there is a hold over the water wont last forever common sense must prevail and i agree you cant take someones word for it it should have been put in writing so it could be checked just because its on the rpra list dosent make it suitable have a look at newton aycliffe

Chris Little Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 What a load of panic and tripe about Marlborough. Have raced there for years with no problems, 100% returns last season If it's good enough for the Cumbrian boys it's good enough for me

ONE IS GREAT the other not so!!!!We can race in two feds doon here cos we have an anglo fed and a premier club (which I am no in). This allows good racin and the choice of routes which is very important. This is an advantage but is up to the member that qualifies and best o luck! This is the same in the Borders with the UNC but the result is not the domination by these members!!!!
