ALF Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 THIS HAS TO BE THE CRUELEST 1 LOFT RACE IN THE WORLD AFTER LOOKING AT THE RESULTS OVER THE LAST FEW YEARSW
Ian McKay Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 THIS HAS TO BE THE CRUELEST 1 LOFT RACE IN THE WORLD AFTER LOOKING AT THE RESULTS OVER THE LAST FEW YEARSW It's not about racing pigeons it's about MONEY
billt Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 THIS HAS TO BE THE CRUELEST 1 LOFT RACE IN THE WORLD AFTER LOOKING AT THE RESULTS OVER THE LAST FEW YEARSW Yes, I agree, not a race you would want to show the public to promote the sport
WulDon Posted February 5, 2011 Author Report Posted February 5, 2011 ye bit of a tough race, 19 pigeons home yesterday... 153 total tonight, i reckon 40-50 tomorrow. very happy to say that two of my entries made it home today, 75th and 112th... it is gutting waiting on them coz at that point you are out the competition, but when you get one great feeling. yes these races are all about money lads, that is why they were created... and that is why we enter, Derby Arona openly admit it is the hardest pigeon racing in the world! unfortunately the young birds had the falcon problem to contend with as well as being there first time racing from another island, so very much bad luck! however the show must go and any amount of winging or critisism wont bring the birds back, over next couple days lets hope some more make it home, after which we must move on and put it behind us. the organisers of this race put a lot of effort and time into this competition, the set up is beautiful, website and live TV second to none... still enjoyable to sit and watch the birds pitch in today. hopefully tomorrow the 200 barrier can be broke, and all fanciers get at least an entrant home... good luck in the morning
