Now that the season has finally endedhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif which youngster out of your whole young bird team, in your eyes, is your best youngster?

and why do think this?

is it a cock or hen?

what breed is it?

A wee dark chequer hen, that was 1st club, 2nd Federation against 1173 birds from Ripon. this wee hen flew for 3 minutes before she hit the landing board that dayhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif possibly would have topped the fed, but thats the way it goeshttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

she is bred from a Molveld Aarden cock, paired to a hen off my son of Honeymans Dreamhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

mine has to be a blue cock of my old breed of kirkpatrick x janssen blood, in training at every point he would circle with the others then break away on his own for home being 1st home every time, he has flown 8 races out to lilliers and been my 1st bird every race he had me worried at lilliers as it was a hard race over 8hrs on wing but came to win 4th club, i have high hopes for him in the future.

Ours has to be our Blue cock Janssen x van Loon, he wouldn't exercise at all, just a couple of circles and down on the loft roof, at training he never even circled with the kit and was always first bird back to loft. He had all races out to the Leicester national and took the following positions, 1st club, 6th fed Consett 183 miles; 6th club 14th fed Ripon, 234 miles; 3rd club, 19th fed Brechin, 63 miles and finally in the SNFC Leicester race, 340 miles he took 7th Region G, 27th open.

His dam was bred by Wuldon and was part of the Joe Murphy young bird exchange last year. ;)

Loners are the birds you want, the ones that fly with the mob are homers
