Wiley Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 the question is what one. Only the individual fancier knows his pigeons to decide that
boxer Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 you need a big team for sure to compete now. Dont think you stand a chance with 20 pigeons when there people sending 80-100 it only takes 1 to win
yeboah Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Will be 100 as norm now, by the time they have been educated losses have already occurred when racing starts we can loose twenty plus healthy birds per race from the shap fells only playing the percentages , gone are the days when i reared 30 and was left with 24 that had raced the programme .

billt Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Be interesting to know how many you have left??12 But they are unraced but flying out well in BOP country
Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 I have 150 comming but this is 75 of the ordinary and 75 of the ets rings, as i am undecided of what clocking system i shall use next year, i will only use about 35, but being a ring collector i will swop the rest :-)
Guest spin cycle Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 about 20 ...but then i don't race ybs. i think thats ironic that people are talking about such large numbers so soon after we've been talking about losses. yb racing has turned into a numbers game....and if these birds are not lost then many will be culled...and i think its wrong to breed so many for 6-8 races. it may be glorious but IMO its not pigeon racing
