can,t remember my 1st pigeon but one of the 1st birds i kept in the house was a bb that had dropped out a race on to portobello prom i picked it up and kept it in my bedroom in a cardboard box 2 flights up with the open end against the window so as it could see out.fed on pop corn maze from the health food shop. when my old man found out he went of his nut.was told get that ******* pigeon out of hear.so a very unhappy me had to let it go .i took it down to prom and let it go .cursing the old man as i did.about half an hour later i heard my dad bellowing on me to get back up to the house. when i got back he said catch that ***** pigeon .as my dad lay on the couch watching tv with the window wide open the bird flew in and landed on the mantel piece and dropped one. my dad also said he s*** himself. :):):)

Ma Da "gave" me my first pigeon, it was a Red Ch Hen SU 75 L 14925, couldn't fly out your road !! . He then let me Swap to a Wh Gr Ck, SU 75 L 14907 who when you sent him sitting newly hatched young birds was unbeatable in the club.

The first one i bought was the Bellshill HEN Blue Su 78 L 13333, i paid the princely sum of £3.50 for it at a clearance sale of a Bellshill fancier Alec Craig who had passed away.

I actually bought it as a Ck, but after weeks of trying to pair it to a Gr hen my uncle seen it showing up to a Ck, wasn't much of a Ck bird but it was a cracking hen, as it turned out she scored from Rennes for my father and was Dam to winners for us and another member of the club, who we were 2nd to it that day!!

Yes i remember all of that, i don't have any details of the birds in the house. Got a thing about numbers, i don't forget them, even car registrations, once they are in my head i don't forget them, E.g my Da had a wee white van and its Reg was ALN 422 B (1976 was R reg so you can work out the year of the B reg), it was scrap but its number stuck with me.
