I AM VERY CONFUSED WITH RULE 4 SUBSCRIPTIONS ive had a few calls relating to the writing a letter to resign before the AGM but before that it distinctly says if your not joined before 1st april of each year your fined £6 including the year admissionan annual subscription of£ 20 what is this all about as if your not joined by 1st april you have resigned any way each member has diffrent circumstances relating to monies what they can pay if you have birds to go to national events ETC I HAVE NEVER HAD TO WRITE A LETTER TO RESIGN FROM A JOB (NOT A HOBBY) THESE MEMBERS OF CLUBS AND FED ARE BEING STOPPED RACING WITH CLUBS AND FEDS WITH THIS CRAZY RULE WHICH WERE NOT GOING TO ACCEPT AS THESE MEMBERS ARE NO BOTHER TO OUR ORGANISATIONS AND IF THEY DONT WANT TO JOIN SNFC THAT IS ENTIRELY UP TO THEM AND AS FOR SNFC TO USE THIS TO STOP MEMBERS FLYING THER BIRDS SHOULD HANG THERE HEADS IN SHAME FOR GOD SAKE GROW UP WE NEED ALL MEMBERS TO FLY THERE BIRDS IF A MEMBER IS NOT JOINED BY 1 APRIL HESE RESIGNED END OF STORY

Very well said.

I know members who have fallen foul of this rule in the past and as a consequence have decided to never fly with the SNFC again. Payback time if you like.

Think most pigeon clubs have this rule,if you don't put in a letter of resignation before the AGM you are still a member therefore due fees.

You all have the opportunity to put a proposal into the AGM to have it changed

Wonder how many AGMs you have been to

:D:D Not many Ian as im sure the SNFC fees are £25 and not £20 as Walter states.

I don't know for fact but I think there could be a point of law here when you sign-up for a one year subscription it is just that. If it is listed in the terms and conditions of joining then that would be another matter. The onus should be on the member to re-new their membership rather than cancel it. JMO

Yes, I think all pigeon clubs and various other clubs, can't see the problem, if you can't be bothered to put in a written resignation that's your fault

Paul.

Could be a problem with that Paul, would the club have to except their renewal.

you are right m8, and its one that has to be there, if not this could mean members not intending to join for the coming year could attend a AGM

you are right m8, and its one that has to be there, if not this could mean members not intending to join for the coming year could attend a AGM< put up proposals etc, thats why if you dont resign you must be classed as being a member, and pay your dues, the SNFC didnt always have this rule, I remember the first year they put it inforce they hadnt had it passed by the shu,and a few names were put to the shu for debt suspension but was turned down because the rule change hadnt gone before the SHU, lots of feds etc dont realise this any rule change must be passed by the SHU,

they pick there own rules if they went by shu rules the snfc would have been useing ets 2 years before it was /if it wasnt for me and sandy robertson and dougie bald we would still be peeling rubbers off pigeons legs

of course its legal or it wouldnt be in the book. i presume the reason is because if it wasnt there then members would not bother paying fees until the last minute then they would be moaning because they hadnt received their entry forms etc

WELL SAID dereck what the matter we the simple rule if not joined by 1 april your no longer a member and who wants mosses rules

i think it was flying pigs at that time :lol:

One of the main reasons for this rule is to prevent people taking part in the meeting and voting on proposels and then not joining the club. A rule that is very much needed.
