I bought a couple of birds direct from Myrtle lofts this year and I was well impressed with them. Spent a lot of money (by my Standards anyway)but one of them managed to escape and I haven't seen it since. Neither has it been reported despite wearing a telephone number ring.

It was my intention to breed from them but that idea is now down the pan.

What I was hoping for is somebody who has a loft full of M & D Evans who might have a late bred cock that I could aquire to go with the direct hen that I have still got.

The reason why I can't go back to Myrtle for a replacement just yet is that I simply can't afford it.

I will be buying again from them next year (when i've saved up) but really could do with a late bred cock to pair with this hen before that.

Hopefully somebody may be able to help.

I have a some. John of Formula loft has directs.

I believe these, and his Ron Williamsons, will be up for auction again this October. These, as those who saw last season, will be bred to Sale. And the average price was well below book price so to speak.

And as I speak as I find, a more genuine, uprright fellows isn't needed, for John is all these things and more.

No matter how much this family are slated, these birds win and win good. I had them for one year and then sold them. These have and still are breeding winners for their new owners, including good results in OLR's, and i wish i still had them and have tried to buy a few back, obviously with no success!

Its no surprise Formula one are breeding winners, John has the best lines and would even say as good if not better than the origin and a lot cheaper!

I have a little unrung slatey cock i was gifted by John at Formula one lofts 4 yrs ago

It;s dam was raced in the europa one loft and it's sire is a son of rolls Royce.

It has taken me a while to see this little pigeons worth but in all fairness it has given me pigeons to fly into the middle of nowhere up here in Aberdeenshire.

I clocked in all year (old birds) with sons of this pigeon up to 350 mile and in the results as well.

If you could see where i lived you would understand why i am so happy with the pigeons of this bird.

I have had Vandenbeeles that are no longer here and i guess it's like all strains ..there are good and bad in all !!.

I know Vandenbeele's no longer get good press but as Mick bowler says at one time they were winning everything and could not be knocked. The credentials of these bird's speak for themselves .

I have nothing to gain by putting sugar in the tea of the men that endorse this strain but for me they have flew very well in an extremely harsh enviroment.

Stickability is a word i would use.

Cheers

I have found them good as well mainly as a cross into the other birds I have. I have M&D Evans and Mike Lycett lines. found they love hard day sprint races with nose ender north winds. My bird that was fastest in the WDA from Huntingdon 2 OB's 2008 is Gaby x Wildermersch. That was a nose ender north wind day.

This year that hens daughter x with a Gaby cock from the stock pair I have from Mike Lycett has bred me a hen to win 1st club, 1st fed from YB Huntingdon and from the vel's I have seen so far published in BHW and WDA website appears to have only 1 pigeon to beat it and will in all probability end up seond fastest bird in WDA from same racepoint as its grandmother agian on a WNW wind day.

I fly 178 miles approx to huntingdon
