lanarkshire lad Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 hi lads. can any body tell me how the first four positions were taken up by the lanarkshire fed in the gold cup race. in the west sec in the snfc is that due to the good training with the lanarkshire fed programe down the west side. your wrong mate i won the west section from the gold cup race and my pigeon raced the east route with the east route club as iam against the west route big time
Roland Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Like the money ofn the Favourite :-/ :-/ Gone west lol ;D ;D
Guest Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 your wrong mate i won the west section from the gold cup race and my pigeon raced the east route with the east route club as iam against the west route big time ;D ;D ;D So why do you support the west route with the SNFC well. :-/ :-/ :-/
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 ;D ;D ;D So why do you support the west route with the SNFC well. :-/ :-/ :-/ Vincent you no as well as i do that when it comes to a certain distance i.e. (500+ miles) it does not matter if it is east and west it comes down to one thing and that is "Good pigeons" Full stop... A good pigeon will win from Reims as it would from Alencon as it is the time on the wing that counts in the end. Please do not let your political views impair your views, as Alencon/ Falaise are known to be pretty central in France and a racepoint for all. The SNFC has a program for everyone, one that encourages members to send from 320 miles to 600 + Miles. whether that be East/central/west. All the best PS I hope your not on a recruitment campaign for the SNRPC. ;) ;D celtic tiger 1 :-/ :-/ you are wrong it is down to a couple of things and that is Quality of pigeons and a high percentage of the birdage flying into the one area. Cheers Gareth :)
Guest uphallhen Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 nogin how did u do ? in S.N.F.C last year 8) 8) 8) when the old birds went west ?
Guest IB Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 I Know there was some difficult races out of the west last season. But every SNFC race is out the west apart from YPRES,why are some so against the west with the fed, then support the west route with the SNFC. :-/ SNFC moved their channel races further east. If there was a 'west' route, then I'd say it was Rennes & Nantes. We had an option to revert to that 'route' this year, but it was defeated in favour of the status quo 'east' route, Alencon & Tours. One of the considerations was the 8 hour drive across France to Rennes, versus the short drive from the port to Alencon. North West Fed flew west route in partnership with Midland a few years back, we got wiped out and before OB season was over, we were back on the East. A meeting agreed YBs revert back to east route same year. A change has never come up since that.
Guest uphallhen Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Gareth U are right when it comes to 500 + miles birds they will win from anywhere but we need to train or birds to come up the west if any off us is going to win the s.n.f.c ;)
alec guinness Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Gareth U are right when it comes to 500 + miles birds they will win from anywhere but we need to train or birds to come up the west if any off us is going to win the s.n.f.c ;) think you are living in the past, the west section birds homing from the traditional route happens few and far between, read the posts most feds in recent years having a go at the old line due to the losses with old birds revert to the east side for the young birds.check the stats. ;) ;)
hotrod Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 some fantastic performances were put up by lanarkshire men last year but surely uphillhen , why cant you just give credit to the men who won with good pigeons rather than saying they won ONLY because the fed went down the west, that to me is just crap, the wind normally determines what side of the pennines (from the longer races)the birds come up and 9/10 its a west wind so they would normally come up the east of the pennines .no one will tell me that the birds from the reims race and the alencon race on the same day that the birds came up the west, dont you remember the wind that day , it was blowing very hard west.BIRDS WILL ALWAYS TRY AND GET SHELTER FROM THE WIND .
Guest uphallhen Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 all I say is if we race out the west with the fed one of us will win the s.n.f.c soon as it has been done before. ie gold cup. anyone remember 8) 8)
ALF Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 all I say is if we race out the west with the fed one of us will win the s.n.f.c soon as it has been done before. ie gold cup. anyone remember 8) 8) Let's think about the pigeons for now not about winning the SNFC.How many y/b's do you think we would have had left if we had sent them west instead of moving them back east!!!
Guest uphallhen Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 west will test the pigons that u have in the hut.? for the s.n.f.c
ALF Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 west will test the pigons that u have in the hut.? for the s.n.f.c Lanarkshire fed is for Lanarkshire fed doos and what is best for them and after that if you are a member of the SNFC you can send them in that club so we are going east for at least the next 3 years so giruy :P ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
naedoos Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 hennie, how no just train yir birds doon the west on yir own, then you've got tae win the gold cup easy ;D ;D ;D

Guest Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 No am not that happy about the East , Because its unfare to us in the East. now is this the real reason to go west at last the truth
hotrod Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 its always about its no fair ,the boys in the east get it easier than us in the west and no one will say im wrong , so either try harder or get better doo's mate.

Cheers Gareth :) Hi Gareth,if you take reference from a map. Then draw a line from Tours, Alancon and Falaise to Motherwell the line of flight is as follows.Newbury,Cheltenham,Worcester,Stafford,Preston,West of Lancaster,West of Carlisle,Dumfries,Through Beattock. This is as much of a westerly line of flight that is possible. This comment is based on factual observation, which holds no relation to political bias, this is a point about the fed.So on this basis my point still stands why do some fanciers not support the west route with the fed. But support this route with the national. Cheers Vincent.
Guest Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 it just never fails to amaze me that some fanciers will go to any limit with there birds just to get a minute or two
ALF Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 it just never fails to amaze me that some fanciers will go to any limit with there birds just to get a minute or two I'd rather just get them all home Frank
