;D  ;D I never knew that one, not at any time did I say he was an angel  ;D I know he had issues with religion etc  ;D but to me, he showed respect and thats what I judge the man on. A straight talker that called a spade a spade and I respected that.Too many fence sitters in this game, frightened to say anything in case it rocks the boat or offends anyone, even when it is detrimental to the sport, they still say nothing. Jock Allan did not sit on the fence. We are talking about the man as a legend in the pigeon world and you have to put a fecking dampener on it with something totally irrelevant.

another great doo man from he same erea davy angus

most fanciers believe that the base of jocks birds were from the great davie angus of symington, :) :) :) :)

Well thats one way of putting it, infact its the understatement of all under statements. Of course later on Davie would not give him a thing , wonder why?

But no matter where his birds came from, his and Dicks performances from the national were quite remarkable.

again "me" seems a simple answer to a simple question,as always with your comments there is a touch of sarcasm, took jock allan as i found him,i know my history like yourself and definately no one better in the west section.

He also had some Jocky Harrison birds as well in his bloodlines. He used to bring his nat candidates up to Jocky's to handle before he sent them in the early days.

think the man should be remembered for his pigeons rather than some of the dirt that has been dug up about him after all who is squeaky clean when it comes to it ? ;)

We all know that Jock was a bit wild and lived on the edge, but oh whit a doo man, i was at a south lanarkshire fed function once when they done a this " This is your life " on Jock, the mans performances were unbelievable, probably the best the west sect has ever seen, and there have been a few good ones, the mans a legend.
