Guest Gareth Rankin Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 heres this years transporter. Have seen it at close hand and is top notch, comes with a double bunk bed as well for the convoyers comforts.
cemetary Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Smart looking transporter, how many doos does that carry, does it belong to the SNRPC or have they hired it from somewhere for the races.
hotrod Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 heres this years transporter. this is south lanarkshires transporter that the snrpc get the use of . this is the bee's knee's i think it holds about 1800 pigeons comfortably
Guest Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 The transporter is an excellent facility with Geraldy quoting that the capacity is 2640 birds. But South Lanarkshire federation as far as club racing is concerned have decided to reduce that to 2240 birds.Inland National races it is 1840 birds and channel races it is 1600 birds. You will not get any better than this, top quality.
WELSH WIZARD Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 well the snrfc is only a small national so the transporters is definaltly plenty big enough
b.massey Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Maybe smaller than some but I get the feeling the birds welfare is high in priority and I will be sending my birds with this national this year I think
Chris Little Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Small or not it is a cracking transporter, I know my doos will be well cared for onboard and an excellent convoyer to match

Guest bigda Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 what is the true amount that it can carry, geraldy say 2,640 how many baskets and how Manny in it, just wanting to know how Manny baskets are fitted in to that transporter and why would geraldy say it holds that Manny :-/
WELSH WIZARD Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 seen as no one wants to answer your question redwhiteblue i wiil instead NEVER its to smalla club for that many birds
Chris Little Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 It is the quality of the opposition that matters, not the quanity true long distance fanciers appreciate that..... Mind you, cant think of that many races since the new millenium where the SNFC have exceeded 1800 pigeons either
Fair Play Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 Some posters must thrive on a negativity diet morning ,noon & night the bog must be stinking getting rid of all that verbal diarrhea
hotrod Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 when have the snprc had 1800 birds oversea .The question was asked how many pigeons can this transporter hold and i answered by saying it can hold 1800 for oversea's races , obviously more for inland races , so get off yer high horses your a sad lot .

JADE Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 how did south lanarkshire fund their transporter? what year is the truck it is mounted on? and the big question....what did it cost. I`m asking because I think all feds will have to go this way before too long.
hotrod Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 i think you would need to ask south lanarkshire about the cost etc .not sure if any on here are from s/lanark
HOMER49 Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 i think you would need to ask south lanarkshire about the cost etc .not sure if any on here are from s/lanark Hi Vince should know but as it was 2/3 years ago when the Euro was 1.40/1.50 to the £ its up 30% so does it matter Cheers Homer 49
