ALF Posted August 21, 2009 Author Report Posted August 21, 2009 Hi Mr Baillie I respect your wishes and will not pm you again Once you have spoken to the person in question and informed him why his pigeon was under sold please tell us As to me getting a life and my super ego shame on you At no point did I under mine the effort you put into a truly worth while cause Cheers Alex Blyth Homer 49 I'll answer this 1 for you homer as i was at the sale and know exactly what happened and i have told the person in question what happened re his phone bid at the sale...When the lots came up for sale that had phone bids they tried to phone the people at the time but could'nt get through to some of them and this is exactly what happened here and Frank told every one in the hall at the time that he had to call someone for them to bid but if they could'nt get through on the phone what is supposed to happen???
hotrod Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I'll answer this 1 for you homer as i was at the sale and know exactly what happened and i have told the person in question what happened re his phone bid at the sale...When the lots came up for sale that had phone bids they tried to phone the people at the time but could'nt get through to some of them and this is exactly what happened here and Frank told every one in the hall at the time that he had to call someone for them to bid but if they could'nt get through on the phone what is supposed to happen??? correct allan in fact it was a relative of mark wright that was maning the phone bid ,i was sitting less that 4 feet from him and he tried more than 6 times to get through and frank being the auctioneer waited as long as he could ,i know for a fact that frank would have liked to get as much for the birds as possible .
Roland Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Regardless, there is certainly no need to surly a good result for a good cause. Frank and all well done.
Guest Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 iam going to put a simple ans to this, this man made it his mission to try and throw mud at a very cood cause ive passed a message to the both MacAloney bros and they are fine with what went on i will try and explain what happened in total i had 4 bids of up to £200 for that lot all were told they could bid on the day they all agreed 1 droped out 5 min before the sale the other 3 were phoned 1 fancier we could not get hold of ive since spoke to him on pm how we could not get him i dont know that left 2 other bidders on the phone that had previously said they were willing to go to £200 but neuther went past £120 and it was sold in the hall for £130 a cheap lot in my mind the man who put the lot up accepted that but hommer 49 still wants to stir it i will not respond any more to this sad person but thank all who helped for the charity ps .. i take it hes back on the drink get a life this was a great cause and supported by great fanciers thanks
