robbiedoo. Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 even though i,ve won it 3 times in the last 5 year winning hastings 483 mile in 2005 with a yearling timed it at 00.07 midnight ETS .my first win the the old birds i,ll never forget it .
Tony C Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 The most pleasing race results for me are the ones where I’ve identified a squeaker in the nest that I believe has a little something about it and goes on to prove itself. Priceless.
DUBLINFLYER Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 it would have to be taking the top 10 in the club this year but winning it with our nomer was the icing on the cake, also winning the open out of sennoncove in 2002, over the moon with those two results
Guest frank dooman Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 another pleasing result was hearing about my big mate stewart mullan (hotrod) winning riems in the far west of scotland that gave allot of hope to many fanciers well done bigman
Guest devonred Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 gota be when ONSLOW (because he was a fat b-----d) my dads favourite Van Bruane cock came diving over the roof from Saintes 400miles in 9 hours to win club combine 2nd weca. His face always a picture :)

jimmy white Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 What's your most pleasing race result, mine would probably be winning the Fed. by 48yds/min from Berwick, 338mls to me then living near Southampton, with a Busschaert hen the most pleasing result for me was the" old meally" as a 2 year old , he was 6th open east of scot continental club,,[big birdages] this was his first time sent over 500 miles, after winning dorchestor 365 miles , as a yearling, my father , god rest his soul, ranted on all that winter that he would score at over 500 miles , his dream was for that meally to score at the distance, sadly my father died in the month of march that year, many years ago now,, but in june of the same year , for my fathers sake i sent this bird,, i think i almost willed this bird to score,,,,,,, to see this bird drop in this very hard race is a sight i will never forget, i felt my father willing this bird home,, ive had better results since, but none ever so pleasing, for the sake of my father,, the old meally went on to score 9 times up to 9 years old from 500- to over 600 miles,, it was always" my fathers bird",,,,,both bird and father, never to be forgotten
