chrissyboy Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 The national should move around the country for its AGM, Aberdeen ,Gretna, , Dundee,Edinburgh, ect each year
frank-123 Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 bit off topic sorry hopefully the libline problem will be discussed not being updated or fanciers not phoning there were more times on here compared to the snfc website
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 The national should move around the country for its AGM, Aberdeen ,Gretna, , Dundee,Edinburgh, ect each year The idea is good but in reality it would be a failure, 90% of the members of the club live on or within a 20 Minute drive of the M8 corridor and having a agm in Gretna and Aberdeen would suggle to get the quorum required to carry out the meeting.

chrissyboy Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 I thought the National was for the whole of Scotland , if you take statistics into account, POSSIBLE 90% of National races are won on the south and east of the country( so should we call it the south east national), possible change the consitutional rules and have a postal vote and then you may get everyones views.i like to think we bring equality to the national!
thunderbigbaws Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 i dont agree with seperate liberations, when you liberate the 1st group the other will be going mental trying to get out. how could we combat this
sammy Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 i dont agree with seperate liberations, when you liberate the 1st group the other will be going mental trying to get out. how could we combat this yi couldnt call that a fair race then little alone a national
Guest Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 i don't agree either but to combat it use 2 transporters as at most liberation's there is more than 1 fed there liberating at intervals
thunderbigbaws Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 i don't agree either but to combat it use 2 transporters as at most liberation's there is more than 1 fed there liberating at intervals thats more cost
Guest Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 is it only the 1 transporter that goes to the inland nationals i take it that you didn't mean the channel races as by the time they crossed they would be well split up and the combined liberation wouldn't make much difference if any

Guest Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 ive picked it up wrong sorry brian :B :B :B :B :B :B
alec guinness Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 young bird national was quoted. i think its just 1 transporter twas me who put up the post with regards young bird national, yes 2 transporters would be required,SECTIONS BCG,1 LIBERATION SECTIONS ADEF THE OTHER.dont think cost would we be as much as members think, remember the distance would only be leicester or likewise and collection pick up areas and time would be saved, only an opinion but i feel the ybn has become so very much lopsided that unless we try some kind of change the fanciers of the solway, the central belt and also the west of scotland will loose heart. :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ NB my thoughts are regarding the YBN only. :-/
K J Young Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 There where only two races this year when one transporter was uesd alencon & ypres this suited the birdage and welfare of the birds . so could,nt see a problem with two libs at the yb nat. Most fanciers in the real west of scotland no were hitting or head of a brick wall sending to the y b nat.
walterbmasson Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 DJW CAN YOU CALL IT A NATIONAL FROM NEWBURY JUST TAKE A LOOK AT LAST YEARS NEWBURY JOHN HUNTER TIMED A CRACKER AT 17 30 WITH A 9am LIB 160TH OPEN SOME FANCIERS TIMING 6 AND 7 BIRDS AT 260MILES WHAT GLORY DID JHON GET 1ST SEC 160thopen what bird do you think was best in the race i know BUT THIS HAPPENS EVERY RACE YOU WILL NEVER GET AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD {BUT SURLY IF YOU CALL IT A NATIONAL YOU MUST PUT AN OBSTICAL IN FRONT OF ALL BIRDS GLENCAMERON WERE SHARING NOW SO WHATS THE DIFFERENCE OF COUPLING UP WITH ALL RACES THAT WAY YOU WILL GET SNRPC AND SNFC TOGETHER RITCHIE 1 ARE YOU NOT GETTNG FAR ENOUGH DISTANCE IN OUR FED FOR NATIONAL RACES :)
robbiedoo. Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 must agree with walter on this one newbury is a sprint for the south lads through no fault of theres . this year from eastbourne i was 2nd section but not on the open result its to easy of racing for the south lads not enough distance also last year walter got 1 from eastbourne at 9 at night i think and i could be wrong but didnt get a ticket . i thought when we talk about national racing your testing your birds against the best at distance with the inland newbury especialy its not happening so we maybe should look into coupling up with the snrpc .
Guest Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 i see whare your coming from walter but our fed only goes as far as leicester about 320 miles one of the reasons to double up with the national was to keep the costs low the only other way for us to get any distance into our birds and keep the costs low would be to joint convoy with another fed for the longer races we went with your fed a few years ago and i think we both scored out of it all our races are from a southerly direction how would you feel about 1 from lerwick 1 from ireland and the rest from a southerly direction that would give the fanciers in the west 1st drop and the fanciers in the north 1st drop in 1 race at least dave
BLACK W F Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 it would be great if the 2 feds went together again for the longest 3 o/b and longest y/b race the only thing stopping it is an element in the aberdeen fed and an element in the north fed the only losers over the years have been the fanciers and feds the oficials from both feds need to put there heads to gether and put a race programm forward
robbiedoo. Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 alan i think it was the aberdeen fed that pulled out we should be flying together imo . davie we have 3 fed races above the 320 mile mark .
BLACK W F Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 robbie we once had a combine with sect the only ones who fly in that are dundee and 1 other fed it was our fed who pulled out
robbiedoo. Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 thought you were talking about a couple of year ago when aberdeen went with us . your showing youre age now the combine was before my time but i would love it if it started again.
Guest Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 they voted at the agm to go with the national which we were then tied to i prefered going with your fed as we lost less birds as they were all going to the same area
BLACK W F Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 it was the way forward east side combine dundee upwards too many not like it great competision not showing no age just got a good memoury it was Ally Sims who started jhe got the feds together wonder where all the throphys went to all the sect throphys ect yes he done a brilliant job more shame to the guys that wrecked it JMO but i am right
OLDYELLOW Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 please stick to the title of the topic SNFC 2010 programme not feds
BLACK W F Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 sorry mark you too far south to join lol
