i hope you get them back.

i seem to be having problems after problems. 1st ever toss 5 miles they came chased by a pair of peregrines. changed places and libs at different times, first toss at 13 miles lib in batches 6 am. 3rd bacth came after 30 mins. after 5 hours 2 from the 1st. at night fall i had 9 luckily all but 3 worked back over the next few  days. 3 with chest injuries. 1 from a hawk the other 2 looked like injuries from taking avoiding action. gave them nearly 3 weeks off from the basket. tried again this week, let 5 go at 10 miles before they had even grouped a peregrine went throught them, singled 1 off and then another from below attacked hitting the bird. 3 came back ok 1 returned the next day with a big rip in her neck the other still missing. So really im either really unlucky or there are more than the rspbs claim of thier being 1 pair of peregrines in cornwall.

not bad for my first year back.

im sure they are not the only reason ,but it does seem to happening quite alot on here about people lossing big numbers of youngbirds, some seem to be quite lucky that they get most back in the next few days

My son-in-law is a twitcher and visits Sennen Cove a couple of times a year, he tells me there's 6 pair of peregrines there alone!!

Had 20 sitting on the loft roof at 6am, so thats now 31/67 but since then we have had the heaviest rain I think I have ever seen in my life and their has been severe thunder & lightning since 7am :'( :'( just hope the others are sitting it out not too far away :o

Again, like the ones that made it last night, the 20 morning arrivals are quite happy and some were in the bath :-/ It is torrential rain as I type this and the sky is black as coal :(

Daughter phoned me at 9.15am to say that there were 7 more on the loft, so that's now 38/67, sky is clearing up a bit now so fingers crossed :o

I am sure they will drift in over the course of the day. The encouraging thing is that there does not seem to be anything out of them so hopefully the ones that are still out will be fresh enough. Best of luck Stuart, I hope they turn up.

Theres a lot of other guys doing this and they are still getting hit with whatever it is, so i dont think in the morning is any different to any other time of the day, there is too many BOP out there at the moment, and it dosent matter what direction you are training at, JMO.

Took mines yestersday 34, around 15 miles, all up together, got home, only 3 arrived, i new that something was wrong, then a batch about 15, 1 with the tail feathers ripped right out, but it wasnt mine, then the rest came in 1s and 2s, until 7 at night, lucky only dropped 1, so what does that tell me, they were in about them.

Bluetooner i hope you get the most of them back mate, a couple of days and they will be ready to go again, best of luck.

Now 46/67, I've been tempted to lie down in a coffin at work today and get one of my colleagues to screw the lid down, this is torture :o ;D

Haven't checked the loft since 2pm so hopefully one or 2 more when I get home at 5pm

Definately, turned out a lot better than I ever imagined it would. Hopefully the birds should have learned a lot from this experience. ;)
