REDCHEQHEN Posted November 26, 2020 Report Posted November 26, 2020 Colombovac is the firm favourite in my club, as Nobivac always seems to leave a greasy mark - but the latest batches are use by 03/21 and Nobivac is 12/21
Novice Posted November 26, 2020 Report Posted November 26, 2020 I feel Nobivac gives better protection so that’s the one for me. However the fancier must ensure that it is about 20 degrees before use.
andy Burgess Posted November 26, 2020 Report Posted November 26, 2020 nobolis for us , used from the start , so why change ?
GRAHAM MITCHELL Posted November 26, 2020 Report Posted November 26, 2020 Colombovac for me as the 50 dose is ideal for amount of pigeons i keep.
billt Posted November 26, 2020 Report Posted November 26, 2020 Nobivac here and Sue if you see a greasy patch the following day it has leaked and needs doing again in another spot. We do about 50 here and as careful as we are, one holds the other injects, we nearly always have 1 to re-vac.That's part of the reason we use Nobivac.
WHITTY Posted November 26, 2020 Report Posted November 26, 2020 I use colobivac because if you get jaged with nobivac you have to go to hospital for the anty dote
Bryngwynt Lofts Posted November 26, 2020 Report Posted November 26, 2020 I use colobivac because if you get jaged with nobivac you have to go to hospital for the anty dote Totally agree because I always have accidents, so the wife keeps telling me
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 27, 2020 Author Report Posted November 27, 2020 We purchase vaccine for the whole club, and have a few volunteers who vaccinate birds - including myself, I have vaccinated about 400 birds over the last two seasons - but the club I fly in purchases around 1500 doses per year, this next season we have another 6 new members (4 are from a club that has folded) and 2 new starters. We have several members (ourselves included) who vaccinate stock as well as racers - buying for the whole club and arranging the vaccinations minimises wastage.
