    Locked Up

alternatively your bird may have been in a batch of birds collected up brought up from the south of England and released closer to home with the lad getting in 3 other birds along with yours this would seem a more likely scenario ok the ets ring and address ring being removed is a pain but getting the bird back is the main thing if someone did take these birds up and release then I don't thing he would appreciate being called an *expletive removed* for his/her good deed ive noticed every time a bird returns in good condition after being lost most folk jump to the conclusion that something underhand was going on, when it could be that someone was going out of their way to do you and the bird a faviour
  13. as walter says it was the sec who decided if the bird was due an award if a claim was made and the sec awarded a gold award then that's down to the sec alone, who is the one who says yes or no so in this case the sec made a mistake ( hey mistakes happen ,and can easily be rectified ) I wonder how many other claims have been submitted over the years and thrown out because the claimant read the rules wrong, a few I would think
  14. whats the procedure when submitting a claim ? I would of thought that any claim would be sent to the sec who would check out if the claim was valid or not and award any claim he/she thinks valid I think this is the correct procedure but may be wrong ?
  15. look at section g from stonehaven upto Orkney, shetland etc 137 miles stonehaven to orkney south to north then right across the country east to west all the other sections could fit into section g

found it in my shu booklet if ring assignment is done outwith the club then the ring list is to be forwarded to the club officials a minimum of 14 days before the 1st race so where would we stand with the snfc this rule would mean we have to send a ring list to them at least 14 days before the 1st national race or would it ?

im a member of 2 clubs steven when I get my rings allocated I get the assigned printout with it that is mine to keep if I fly out the club who didn't allocate my rings I don't need to give them any info all they need is my clock with the birds on it when sent to a race i think you can get any club to allocate your rings ,doesn't have to be one you belong to the fed and snfc don't ask for a ring list all they need is the race printout ps- ive had to get mine allocated by a clock setter from a diff fed in the past because my club wasn't able to do mine due to non availability of said clock setter

never heard of the sec needing your ring list, or clock setter for that matter you may have got your rings assigned at another club all they need is the printout at basketing of the birds you have sent to a race
