    Whats the POINT

Pity some one will have to remember to submit it next year!

    Whats the POINT

When is the closing date for proposals to the AGM a change like that would need to be submitted and approved?

    Whats the POINT

Point is Tammy the numbers and therefore the amount that needs to be discussed is a lot less now(generally speaking). So in my opinion we should revert to one meeting the AGM and that decides everything including the race program. Its hard enough to get people to turn up for the AGM never mind an extra meeting. Incidentally don't Lanarkshire have a quorom limit 60 out of over 500 does not seem much as you say?
  6. To the scottish doo men and the new Scottish goverment who AT LAST look like they will take the Sparrowhawk problem seriously about time to.. Check out the BBC Scotland Web Site and keep your fingers crossed as well as giving your MSP a hard time!

    CONGRATULATIONS

yes indeed hope you have your cardie on tonight chrissy by way of celebration!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. At this time of year treat for absolutely nothing if you can get away with it. My advice would be get a mixture of droppings tested and if your vet advises treating for anything do it, if not leave it for a month or so if possible. Let them finish the moult in peace if at all possible. Keep them clean and dry with good ventilation and no draughts and watch them "fly" next year. All the best.

  10. 10 quid? gies peace!
  11. Red Chequer? are you sure mate?
  12. You need Auremycin ointment or something similar in the eyes of any birds showing those sort of syptoms double quick as well as a suitable flock treatment anti b in the water for a week to 10 days. If its Salmonella get to a vet or any other source you have and get a hold of Baytril best thing by a million miles to sort things out for you. Get your loft gutted out and sprayed with Virkon S and be on your guard for it making a reappearance . Good luck.
  13. Thought about trying to get some when I was on holiday its basically one of the "cocktail" medicines similar idea to, although not exactly the same as, Nifuramycin
  14. Never you mind "me" Sammy lad you concentrate on your spelling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Your comprehension is remarkably poor Sap lad!
  16. "Cage And Aviary" what the hell has this got to do wae the doos?
  17. All very true lad but it will not save pigeon racing in fact it will hasten its end sad but true!
  18. If your are affected as badly as that your welfare as well as the birds welfare are the most important things to be considered and I would strongly recommend you give serious consideration to giving up the sport.
  19. you can't blame the Belgians or Dutch flogging their doos using "Agents" in the UK you just have to look at the "avalanche" of birds advertised and bought on sites like this. The reason no one in Holland will buy them is they would'nt offer half the money. Think about it!!

Think we have to get things in perspective here its not the end of the world.

    Ventilation

Davie Angus never felt the need to buy a humidity gauge from a garden centre or anywhere else believe "me".
  22. All the best Bart lets home they sit tight on a roof and keep out of danger and you get them in first light safe and sound.
  23. Its the time of the year when your birds should not be out pm at all if you have to get them out for some reason like to settle late breds then stand guard over them. If you want to get them out do it first thing then back in and fed for the day. Sparrowhawks generally strike early afternoon and of course as the daylight slips away the earlier they will try to make a strike.

    foot and mouth

It is a fact that the compensation value paid out during the last outbreak was more than these guys could have reasonably expected on the open market and it is also a fact there was some "jiggery pokery". But I have no doubt these cases were very much the minority, many farmers would be heart broken to see their animals go in such a manner.
