some vets say 15ml per gallon others reckon 30 ml because they think the birds will not drink enough. 20ml per gallon is a convenient amount to suit most drinkers, try that and see how much the water consumption drops.

Calm down Stevie-B I'm sure there will be enough proper "nutters" attending throwing money around to give you a succesful sale. Good luck to you and the fed and to the purchasers of the birds.

    Hawks

another plus to giving the birds decent weather to fly in then fifer. the point i was trying to make earlier is the biggest danger to racing pigeons is pigeon fanciers perhaps we should spend a few bob trying to persuade our MSPS to do something about it!!

    Hawks

in comparison to the thousands upon thousands of birds thrown away in the last few months by pigeon fanciers liberating birds in poor weather conditions what does the hawk eating the odd one or two matter?

ANDY - "ALSO IF YOU'VE BEEN ALIVE THIS WEEK YOU WILL BE AWARE OF THE WEATHER ON TUESDAY....WEDNESDAY THE BIRDS WOULD'VE BEEN BROUGHT HOME..." You are right Andy the weather for the east on Tuesday and Wednesday was as bad as the weather in the west on Monday ao the birds would have been brought back. Who was controlling does not matter a jot there have been a few dodgy decisions made this year by controllers in the west of the country if memory serves. Look back over the years if the weather is ok in the east they go up.No wonder there are so few Ayrshire members left in the club, the birds have been liberated on days where it was not even safe to let your birds out in Ayrshire because the weather was so bad.
  13. cheers Gordon many thanks

Henrick - "So if it had been a strong East wind then the west boys could have had a field day." without a doubt if the weather in the east had been as bad as the weather in the west on monday the birds would not have been liberated
  15. is there a sales list and more precise directions to the sale for non locals?
