Had a pair do exactly the same thing years and years ago.I had "borrowed" a few nails off a site intending to do some work on the dookit. They were in a polly bag and you have guessed it they poked a few holes in the bag. Got to the dookit and slung them under the boxes (well i was in a hurry it was a friday). Needless to say the bag lay there for a while and before I knew it a pair had built a nest that looked like the one the "Soup Dragon" had on the "Clangers". Nearly cleared the nest and started again awfae glad I did'nt one of the youngsters turned out to be a great racer for "me".

yes agree with both posts "super health" is what we have to aim for but would you use to ensure the birds health is not compromised ,regular treatment plan including antibiotics.or just supportive therapy.

What you should doo pal is concentrate on getting some doos worth sending to a "national" you need to get wan hame to time in. Of course you might have been meaning one of they daft wee inland races and if you were I apoligise!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried using an ETS system mate by the sounds of it it cures everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On a serious note Ben their is nothing more dishearting than seeing a good team of young birds going down with the dreaded "sickness" especially when the racing has just started. No feeding AT ALL for 24 hours but electrolytes in the water. Then "small stuff" and keep the electrolytes going as well. If things don't look like they are improving at all then the "secondaries" like e-coli need sorting and that is where the "cocktail" medicines like Nifuramycin come in they blast everything. You will lose some but after 5 days give a decent multi-vit and try and build them up again. Sorry to say your racing season is probably over. Good luck Ben!

Clarkey lad have you actually used this product? The reason I ask is I think the dosage you are stating is way too strong and might do damage to the birds .I would say one graduation to a litre would be more like the thing. But genuinely interested to learn from your experience with the product!
