Maybe this is aimed at votes where several different motions are considered by the one vote : propasal a = 21 votes, proposal b = 19 votes, proposal c = 22 votes for instance. Now if proposals a+b concerned motions to fly down the east of the country say and proposal c was for down the west side say I could see the point. Exactly Bruno, but the birds will be bought by individual fanciers and dispersed throughtout the country, so if one of his birds (theoretically) have h5ni then it is being spread all over the land in exactly the same way as if an individual bird at a show might (theoretically) have it and pass it on to be distributed by other entries all over the country. One of the most famous and succesful fanciers to have graced these British Isles did something similar to what you are suggesting many moons ago ,but if my memory is not gone completely I think it was in february not nov or dec and this guy tossed them 200 miles plus before he stopped. He was seriously trying to test his birds, no bad thing, but then he was a "master"

There is something in what both of you are saying (Alf and Bruno), but think of it another way if statistics for % "strike rate" were published I wonder who would be at the top of the list? Furthermore if you added your own "rating" to take account for the location of the fanciers loft, that might tell you something else before you part with your hard earned cash!

Give Joe Murphy a "bell" believe he put the advert together maybe he can give you more details. Although giving the sad circumstances behind the sale maybe it was a bit difficult to get exact details of the birds. On the other hand remember that space is tight and the idea is to attract people to the sale and there might be more detailed info on the pens.

Well Sammy lad how many doos have you bred at the normal time of year,never mind old birds that have not moulted and thrown feathers all over the place? Of course the lad may have been unlucky and his birds were so ill they could'nt complete a moult but its pretty unlikely is it not?
