Just an update guy's. All the birds are fine now and have scored in the last two race's. 3 in the top ten from swainswick and look's like i got 3rd or fourth this week from the same place(couldve got another 4 in the top ten but thought i was behind so didnt clock the rest).All thanks to everyone who replied and helped me .

Agree with you there Roland healthy pigeons want to fly.

Aye feral pigeons are hardier and more disease resistant but can they home from a race .Its like saying fantails have more tail feathers.Dont get me wrong i agree with what you are saying but feral pigeons are just that, they are not racing pigeons.Well at least thats what i think.

I clocked my second and third bird within 4 seconds of each other this week on a Junior T3. But at the end of the day i cant see the Rpra changing there mind about using ets nor can i see them puting a time penalty on it.So its either use it or not .17 seconds seem's an awfull lot of time to pick a bird up take off the rubber and put it in thimble and clock it.

This is really bad new's.Just hope the birds are not as bad as it sound's.

You would think with all the technology these day's that they could work velocities based on wind direction as well as loft location .It may create a fairer system but overall i think its about as good as it can be.From my point of view i never really took notice of overfly i look at my velocity and see if i am in the running if not no worries there's allway's next week:).

Heya mate i just cured mine of it .I put a hopper full of depuritive in the loft and left it there topping up when needed till they was over it.Fresh water daily and keep the loft super clean.Keep the birds in the loft till all symptoms are gone.Timbarra(Spencer) told me how to get over mine and all thanks to him.Like he stated its a viral infection you need to let all the birds get over it in there own time.just like a cold will spread from one family member to the other so will this pass through the loft. The reason behind the hopper feeding 24 hours a day is so the birds dont gorge themselve's and just eat a little when needed. I think mine was caught just in time and am training and racing again.

Thanks Bruno .I listen each week to people going on how the beat such and such on the clock by seconds but the other guy lives 5 miles further as the crow fly's. I think its the age old problem of hating to lose so look for any exscuse .

Chlorine is one of the only chemicals that can change the physical properties of another chemical or so i was told.Dunno what it actually change's stuff into mind. But it can maybe change good stuff to poisonous stuff

So relatively speaking overfly is just a figure of speach as the highest velocity win's is that right.If my bird is flying 1400 yards per minute and the guy who lives further is flying 1399 do i win or him?

Anyone care to enlighten me on what it is? i thought fastest velocity wins regardless of loft location. I quite often hear people saying i have to give so and so 2 mins overfly. Sorry if its a daft question but i'm still learning

I use more or less the same system. But i think i may have had youngbird sickness ,after asking advice on here Invincible spirit and Timbarra pointed it out to me .After talking to Spencer on the phone and following his advice i think i caught it just in time the birds are all looking good now. I do believe Apple cider vinegar is great for keeping a lot of nasties at bay though and without it i reckon i may have had it a lot worse.
