  1. Tony, as you know i dont race south road, but a few members on the site have followed my system that race south road, and followed it to the tea and theyve had results theyve never achieved before, and thats flying in the West Section of Scotland, and In Waterford in Ireland. So when i eventually do go south road i would class 238 mile as a sprint race and feed according to it being a sprint race
  2. 238 miles is a sprint race, if the system is successful why change anything? The only thing i would do is try to motivate the birds more, but that requires more information on what is happening in your loft to tell ya what you could do.
  3. Sorry fella i dont agree with this, if it has taken longer then a week to get over this virus, you have had a secondary infection taken hold

  9. Yes, id have em training everyday, whendoes ur season start?
  10. The reason they fly so well in the morning is because theyve had a big feed the previous evening, that is all so time the evening comes they are hungry again hence the reason for poor flying effort of the evening. My birds only go out at afternoons so i feed heavy in mornings and light in evenings as i want there evening exercise to be good. However saying that if i read it rightly your birds are out of sight for an hour, they would be in the training basket if they was mine.
  11. They need to be chased in my opinion, i reckon thryve been feed a high protein diet. Young birds should be fit enough to be trained by 12 weeks of age. Lighten there diet dramatically with barley. Too much protein in a youngsters diet makes them fat and lazy, as soon as young birds start perching the diet should be lighter to get them flying quickly
  12. If its a winning cock bird id always take a daughter as a choice, and vise versa if a winning hen

    Feeding

To get the best results with young birds you need to master how much protein they need, in my opinion though to much brown slows them down, and my birds wouldnt see any protein content after monday
