I'm not anti horse racing, I was being specific about the National, I think it is loaded in favour of the punters and not the welfare of the horses, I can't say there are too many dogs killed on the race track, I'm not anti pigeon racing but my wife has always thought there was an element of cruelty about it

Another two horses killed, having horses most of my life I'm not a fan of the national, It's outdated and barbaric, time to call it a day

This year is mega different, In the 25yrs I've lived here my losses have been reasonable considering I'm surrounded by forestry, but I've had to keep the birds in, they were getting hammered, that includes street wise birds that were on open loft so no chance of letting youngsters out, they would not have a hope in hell , I really can't see there's a future for our sport under the present conditions

Well the shot-gun would certainly keep BOP at bay, they hate and react to loud noise

It's always nice to feel wanted
