IB. I thought that last week we discussed on here that YB losses were worse now than ever?. Surely if you are pointin at geological fault lines causing magnetic anomilies then they surely would have existed since the retraction of the ice age!. I am sure that magnetics and the distortion of fields within must affect something but are we really sure thats what the pigeon definately uses? I read with great interest on here of posts concerning Telephone masts and Television signals interfering with oor doos 'radar' due to modern inventions like digital television. The waveforms and carriers for such signals have existed for many years with the bandwidth being extended to cope with extra demand but still the wave form exists. Black holes due to magnetism in the areas you pinpoint must surely affect the lofts situated within? Cheers Steven PS Its a strange old game

Back tae Stafford Lewis. Solway was meant tae gan tae Leciester but canny muster enough numbers tae make it viable. Am gan tae send 3 and put 3 aside for the nat next week. The 3 that gan are 3 race winners for me this YB season

Had 50 rings. Culling brought them doon tae 40.Trainin made it 36 registered for ETS. Got 17 left of which only 8 are able tae race due to injury or distance jump too much.

I bought some old weld mesh frae an engineer and begged some tile batons frae a roofer mate and mate my own. Magic in the winter

Ave used it for the last four years, But this year will be the last. The younguns are magic, excellent feathering and keen tae exercise. Have won three out o six this year and won every year with the darkies, absolutely terrific. Yearlings are poor. The same doos that won for me as younguns go down quite quick. I started this year wae 17 yearlings in my old bird team 10 of which wer darkies NONE left. Ironically the ones that fell tae bits and didny make the YB nat or fed open were the doos that performed!"!!!. Its a strange old game

If only the price varied along wae the quality

They look the part. Have never had a grizzle maself but any that have handled the feathering was always top notch.

No John a still went for the Kirkpatricks first but thought aboot the Theelans tae be modern. No modern enuff tho???

Quality of breedin as everything but its also the hardest thing for a fancier tae admit tae gettin wrong cos it brings into question his abilities tae judge a pigeon and also the money paid for so called good stock makes us hang on tae doos thinkin that we just need tae get the pairins right. My dad un me bought in a new breed fur the distance which produced nowt for three years. I wanted tae move on and the old boy said tae be patient and we timed four at the water this year. I bought stock this year which i paid at leaset one months wages for and am absolutely gutted wae wot ive bred frae them.

They will be thru when the last flight is grown up. Its a must for me that they go right thru without holdin flights.

Yer quite right way yer patience but yer doo that came frae reims I am pretty sure would be in the overwhelming minority. Everybody has differing ideas on younguns and how tae race them but personally I would like tae get the majority of my team as far as pos. There are lots of fanciers who dont bother racin younguns but I would bet that there loss percentage would be quite high.
