We gan most years tae the YB nat. This year I was 3rd 4th and 14th section. These were the only ones i got oot o 5 and am hopin I can get one of these tae Ypres or equivelant next year. In 2009 we were 8th section and got 5/6 one hen went on tae win the section at ypres 2010 in 2008 we were 16th section and got 4/7 timed the hen at 2009 ypres but ootside the result

Ave got tae agree wae the distance stuff. Im no too happy wae the Solway fed racin short races frae inside the Cumbrian fells. I would much rather have a race frae Shap (north of fells) and then jump right out tae leyland or Garstang, the jump would be in the region of 80/90 miles but might give them a better chance of beatin percy. If the fed gans east then it will be interstin tae see how much better the racin is! I am a realist and will fly which ever route the members vote for but hope that some consideration is givin tae jumpin the fells rather than just a straight pick between east and west! I like the west route but the competitor in me says that if the old bord channel races are gan tae be oot east then perhaps my doos better get used tae that line, maybe if we come slightly mare central in France naebody could moan!!!! Na thats stretchin it me thinks

Ithought this was the only wae tae do it!! unless you had 50 younguns left and didny have enuff room for them. The only difference for me is that i rotate the pairs that dont work for up to 3 years then if nowt then gone. If yer racin the channel wae yer selected new blood then it make take 4/5 years tae get the blend rite and sometimes a cross could be required so patience is the name of the game. Cheers steven

Its no a slate on what region gets the best of it. We are racin on the west and then have tae switch east for the nats. Now that might sound like its our fault but i do believe that for the south the west is the preferable route, even wae the murderous cumbrian hills.. The facts are that the drag wae younguns up the east coast will always make the racin tae the west frae the yb nat very diffucult and thats a fact. Feds can choose tae gan east, which the solway probs will this year, and the nat fancier will defo benifit from this but the purely selfish view frae the boys in the south that like winnin would be a more central lib from the nats. Anyway. Some crackin results the day frae some crackin fanciers on this site and I hope theres mare tae come. Hopefully some more wins tae come in the shows?
