  1. That will explain it then. Last time I was there was 1983!!!! OLd boy usaully does the honours but seems confident he can let me loose! He may regret that.
  2. Never recieved oors!! Will phone the morra
  3. Would this also be the black hole in Newcastle area Derek?
  4. Aye canny answer that yin then .Once had a pair of jack roberts delbars direct. They bred a couple o younguns that were, in my opinion, poor killed one and the other had 3 tickets weel in frae SNFC so its not set in stone. As a rule i find it the best way. I justify it by saying that i dont have enough room and also that i would not buy doos wae the tail up. Have probs killed a few that should have kept but live by the sword die by the sword. You got tickets for SNFC Dinner/pres on a complete change o subject?
  5. Tail in the air John? or just bad handlers?. Have had some ugly brutes that handle like the Queen Mary that have taken tickets but the tail in the air like a wren is the curse as far as am concerned.
  6. Youll not get many wae the tail up in the air tae win races unless its a blaw hame. Never had yin on a tester, ever, Tend tae cull them after a month.
  7. If you look round the various forums that this lass is on then it becomes clear that she is genuine. It also becomes clear wot the others think of us fanciers "Interest Parties" and "minority organisation" A wee man asked me at the weekend tae put some cash in his bucket for the RSPBOP and when challenged aboot the hawk problem for the fancy and songbirds decline looked away and asked some old biddy for her cash. I dont know if he was ignorant aboot the problem or just ignorant. I just wanted tae cut his ponytail off.
  8. Well said Roland.
  9. Top notch. Its a crazy game showin as well. Won the channel class at peterlee and had three on the specials table. Judge(who will remain nameless) awarded best in show tae the selling class, had bos and byb, gutted.
  10. Ye summit for the winter.
  11. Mind you mate I canny say much. Back in the day I had the supreme champ at fauldhouse wae a red Kirkpatrick that had done a couple o laps o the garden once
  12. Not quite the prestige tho john me thinks
  13. When I travelled tae the shows that was the main class!! Oh well
  14. Why no flown handled classes?
  15. Ye thats right not as many 2yr olds knocking aboot. Think we should leave the two inland nats alone as they make some cash but look at cuttin a channel race.
  16. Well thats plenty nowadays for a fed. Does it come in a bigger size? is it bespoke or delivered as is?
  17. Sounds like everybody should have the same transporter as AV. How many does it hold?
  18. Ye thats defo a factor. I put Henry Dobies young birds thru at the marking for Laicester SNFC. Now I never comment usually on others doos but these were in fantastic order and fitted my hand like a glove, shinin like a shillin they wer. I said tae Henry that they wer right up my street and he replied that at his place(way West) he didny fancy his chances??? 1st sectA!
  19. Well Derek if there is any organisation in GB that has the means tae sort any prob then it must be the SNFC!
  20. I would say that when you know yer strain that you keep you will know exactly what they are capable of. But the way you race them is the key to what distance you can go to.
  21. Ye your right Gareth the pigeons are probs exeptional but still think that breed has not got the distance boundarires thet a lot of fanciers, and sellers, think they have. Feedin and motivation are everything in pigeon racin from 50 miles tae 500 miles and loads of so called sprint doos have excelled from the distance. If we look on the back of the BHW every week we will see the Van Reet family of doos classed as a sprint family. I can honestly say that this is not the case? On the other hand consistently there are strains that always do the job when the chips are down. This is maybe why the cross is the best??? Cheers Steven
  22. Is the feedin o the birds the biggest prob? Wot was written in the press aboot the heat issue? I have never seen the transporter so would value any comment. Cheers steven
  23. Any good doo will win anywhere frae any distance as long as the fancier and his/her methods are correct
  24. This is wot its all aboot!
  25. Thanks very much folks. I have a couple of Klaks frae Mr Axe and have been quite impressed just wondered how widespread the family are.
