  1. That virus is getting you down Rab!!! You usually have a comeback when I attempt humour.
  2. That is what I think happened. I think they may have been caught out with the hill mists and, easy for me to say now, had they held till after the NRCC we could have had a better race. Having said that 19 pigeons or thereabouts made the result from the Federation's convoy of 99, so 20% returns and the question then is what happened to the other 80%? Why did they struggle when the others didn't? I suppose all the usual reasons, but some good proven pigeons also fell foul.
  3. That seems a good idea and would assist transparency, thus disabling the doubters.
  4. Normally they liberate 30 minutes to 1 hour before us. Why we liberated 40 minutes before them beats me. I expect 5.00 was too early for them and our race controllers had a rush of blood worrying about the weather front moving in from the west and thought the early lib would beat it. One of our pigeons reported in Inverurie, so looks like they may have stayed in the north caught in the hill mists, etc. We will probably never be told why we were liberated before them.
  5. Thought you sent 8 you dipstick. That virus is affecting your memory Wilma. :D
  6. Drongan - Wullie Johnstone - 01292 592330 It'll be one of yesterday's pigeons from Thurso.
  7. Just got mine at 10.30. New idea is that they may be still in the North. With the early lib, they may have been caught in the rolling hill mists. Mine was well flown, so goodness knows where he was, but at least he is back. Around 20% returns in race time with a few more reported home today already.
  8. Good morning all.
  9. Dull here, but better than yesterday. High grey cloud with good visibility and plenty of light in the sky.
  10. Happy birthday.
  11. 56 on their returns update just now latest one clocked at 20.22. I believe the Essex and London boys had a sticky one yesterday as well.
  12. They tend to fly south from Thurso then head east across the firth or follow the land to around Fraserburgh before heading south again. The weather front probably kept them in the east and possibly put them down. They may have tried to go round it and at times go as far south as Berwick, but if the NRCC did catch them up, they may have followed them.
  13. Tell mine to get its ar se over here. :D
  14. Toughie from Thurso today. Around 4 from 15 sent by Club and 15 from 99 sent in Fed. Birds returning from the south, so seems to indicate the NRCC caught us and our pigeons followed down to England.
  15. I know of two to the same guy by 13.30, but don't know the times. Don't know if it's who you are talking about, but the ones I've heard are JLD's. They are definitely scarce which makes me think NRCC have caught us and they have went on down south.
  16. They'll try to go round it and be forced to come in from Berwick. Hopefully they will not be caught up with NRCC pigeons or we've had it.
  17. Well done Wiley. Paul, I'm usually a bit on the late side, but I'll post when mine arrives into Ayrshire. We were libbed before you today, probably because we were flying into the bad weather front and in an attempt to beat it. Failed miserably. It is grey overcast here and light rain. Even though I live on a hilltop, I don't expect it will be much better on the lower ground. Just hope he makes it through.
  18. Ayrshire North Road Fed Thurso 5.00. Light South wind. NRCC Thurso 5.40. Light South wind.
  19. Good morning all.
  20. Grey, overcast and miserable and the doos are libbed. Hope they get a good start and work through what I hope is just localised poor weather.
  21. Ayrshire North Road Thurso liberation at 5.00.
  22. Well done Norman.
  23. Excellent!!! Congratulations.

    Congratulations. Well done.
  25. As Ian said, if you have the universal cable, most clocks can be run off any club system, so by using that system linked to the club computer and using the Mysoft, East Coast program, all clocks could be sent to the program. T3's are another problem and whether they could also be linked to the programme is unknown by me, but it would just mean manual loading of T3 times.
