  1. Good morning all. Just.
  2. Commencing 1st March 2019 the new Club Scheme will provide as standard Public Liability Insurance for £5M, Employers Liability Insurance for £10M, “All Risks†cover on property belonging to all affiliated RPRA Clubs consisting of but not limited to Timing Clocks & Electronic Timing Systems, Computer Equipment, Baskets & Crates & Trophies up to £15,000 in total. The single policy covers all affiliated Clubs and is included as part of the RPRA membership for 2019. Clubs will be able to download full policy details shortly from the website and documentation will include a Summary of Cover and proof of Public Liability insurance. The RPRA working together with Richard V Wallis and Hiscox Insurance are also pleased to announce the Club Scheme replaces all previous single Individual Club policies due for renewal on 1st March and that all Club secretaries will shortly be receiving a letter informing them of the change. 3. Welcome to the site.
  4. Enjoy St David's Day.
  5. Good morning all.
  6. This was the only way I could get Public Liability cover for my Federation. We had to take out Club insurance for our baskets and trailer, etc. The liability came with this as standard.
  7. It is up to the marking station to enforce the rule. The SHU makes the rule, the members ensure it is followed. Let's put it this way, as a SHU delegate I have no way of knowing what is actually happening, so I have no way of enforcing the rule. If a dispute is brought to the SHU regarding this rule, then I will be in the position to enforce the rule and it will be my duty so to do. Thus the statement regarding the test case, whether that be because of a refusal to allow a bird carrying ID, or because an owner refused to place ID on their bird.
  8. The first test case if a fancier is forced to remove their own ID without a substitute being stamped.
  9. The rule is that Young Birds must carry ID. The ID can either be a wing stamp or a ring. The ID should be a telephone number. The telephone number can be a Club or personal one. The best way of doing this, in my opinion, is to use Lambournes clip rings or ETS sticker rings. When and if the YB is sent to the SNFC race, these can be removed at the marking station where they can then be wing stamped instead of blotting out a wing stamp. The SNFC marking station can stamp them with the Secretary's number and this meets all security requirements, since Mary would not report them until the race was over. Either that or leave the individual's ID on them.
  10. Not had it from the RPRA, but I have had it from Local Councils. I'm afraid it is the direction most organisations are following. When you are a Member Club of the RPRA your fees cover you for this, but the SHU doesn't have this in place. I tried getting it for my Federation, but couldn't buy it as a stand alone product. I had to take out a Club Insurance to get it.
  11. Happy birthday.
  12. Good morning all.
  13. That is what I stated in my post Charlie. Instead of following and doing the same, they should have backed the Welsh up and banned NWHU YB's from racing in the year of their birth. They didn't do that. Now it looks like they are on a money grab and could be seen to be victimising NWHU just because they are not members of the Confederation, nor are they "toeing the party line".

  15. Happy birthday.
  16. Good afternoon all. Been busy all morning.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised if the Scottish follow and also do this, however, I think it would have been better if they had all followed the WHU when it tried to ban them from use in the year of their issue. The NWHU issue their rings very early and therefore 2018 born pigeons could be racing with 2019 rings on. The other unions started to issue rings earlier and the WHU failed in its attempt. Now this action will only be seen as a money grab, since it doesn't tackle the actual problem.
  18. Good photos.
  19. Good morning all.
  20. I can only presume the need for this is one partner to each club, since you can run 6 races on the one clock. If you use the loft clock, Inn, it will record all pigeons and upload them to both of your G2 clocks. That way the club will read the pigeons for its own race, but not the others. If there is another way, you would have to check with Jim Savage.
  21. Good morning all.
  22. The main thing with any breeding is to prove the pairing. Distance birds may take you a little longer depending on the family as to how far you can push them down the road and we also know the many perils they face whilst being proven, so it is much harder nowadays. The likes of Derek and Walter, as well as others, have the success, so I would definitely think that these pairings are feasible.
