That sounds relatively normal and is contrary to the stories I've heard. Seems it is purely a cost matter when they are bought by members from different areas.

I think it is November. Someone that gets them early could tell you.

We are currently wrestling with that one. Any fair-minded suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That is impossible to enforce. Everyone has their individual freedom to race within any organisation. What we require is an understanding that the Unions will not poach fanciers from outwith their boundaries. I was highlighting that the RPRA are unhappy about the NWHU taking members from outwith their area and have enforced this registration fee on RPRA members, whilst at the same time they are doing the exact same as the NWHU and are accepting members from within SHU and NEHU boundaries.

The NEHU suspended some members and notified the RPRA. These suspended members applied to join the RPRA and were accepted. They now run a RPRA club within NEHU boundaries. The NEHU have had applications from RPRA areas and refused them on these grounds. There is a "turf war" going on in England, but it has also been started in Scotland.

:crying: SHU are thinking of the fanciers before finance. Would you rather they had decided to follow on and charge their members? Sometimes credit should be given. We know that not everything is rosy and that improvements could be made, but if you do not think that knocking off 4 years worth of rises to the Membership Fee and holding the cost of Life Rings as was done last year, Holding the Membership Fee and Life Ring cost and stopping charges for loft pinpointing and race measurements as was done this year is not a move in the correct direction, pray tell me how you would manage the situation? It is easy to sit in blissful ignorance and mock.
