Nothing wrong with the advice given above BUT should the pigeons condition suddenly deteriorate and die (or any of your other pigeons show the same symptoms) get one of to a vet asap. There's being something knocking around where pigeons drink to excess and keel over in very quick time.

Club charges 50p a pigeon of which around 33p goes to the Fed (this depends on how many pigeons we put in a crate as Fed charge per crate) so 50p - 33p = 17p per pigeon goes to the prize money. We total up all the prize money then divide it by the amount of races held............. this is then divided into 4 prizes per race paid out 40% for a 1st, 30% for a 2nd, 20% for a 3rd and 10% for a 4th.

How many chances? If I think a pigeon has got a little something about it regardless how its performed as a baby or yearling it'll get a chance as a 2 year old to prove itself.

Started the season with 24 w/hood cocks, dropped one at 500 mile, one had to be removed from the loft as it was a fruitcake. Finished the season with 22. Have (or should I say had) a team of naturals 7 pair, lost 6 racing with the NRCC and removed 2 from the loft. y/birds had 50 rings have 32 youngsters remaining in the loft, lost 8 racing (5 in the last race) others lost off the loft or removed.

I would sign a hard mercenary defender just for the training pitch and wish him good luck.............. or as they say 'go break a leg'

Down in Essex we started Amals a couple of years ago and in my opinion its the best thing thats happened in years. We get more birds in these Amals than we get in our Combine races! At the moment there's 6 feds that compete in these Amals and I'd be lying if I said it run smooth from day one, the problems were and still are resolved with a mindset that these races are the future................ were in a dying sport........... we've all got to pull in the same direction. Fed birdage has halved around these parts in the last 10 years and I'm afraid this trend is irreversible.
