Returns at clocks were erratic to say the least, two members never timed, some had 3/15, 1/4, 10/25 etc etc. and this at 135/ 140 miles. Dont know what went wrong today. I fully support the decision to race today.
Damned if they do ,Damned if they dont. while Wednesday AM was a bit early to call, I would imagine the decision would have been made with the working man in mind to allow those that could time to arrange some leave etc to see the birds coming home. Unfortunatly there will always be some who cannot do this same applies to any race day Saturday included and I feel for those guys. Will Friday turn out to be the better day ? its in the lap of the Gods we will have to wait and see.
Ayrshire 9 am Otterburn and Lanarkshire 9am Hexham??? I am told from an ex convoyer that you can see Hexham from Otterburn lib points not great communication.
1st toss last Wednesday , birds returned well split up and one lucky escape tail feathers and secondaries missing. I have used the same location for training on very many occasions in the past without any bother, just shows the Bassa,s are getting everywhere now.
Only 18 OBs to start this year, I think it depends on how the season starts, like a previous post on here I think our seasons will depend on getting one or two pigeons that will perform week in week out and for another 1 or two to step up to the plate.will it happen need to wait and see. hope to have in the region of 70 ybs .
Big thanks to those who donated a pigeon and those who purchased one , We raised around £730 on the day with a few cash donations still to come in on behalf of Kilmarnock Invitation HS thank you.
good idea. I tend to find anything I put down on paper as my fancy for doing well is the kiss of death. and the best birds are the ones that usually slip below my radar. ( Could just be I dont have a clue lol). But for the sake of it I nominate SU14A6840 a chequer cock who as a youngster was just a steady eddie.
